The slurry stirred tank is one of the important and indispensable equipment in the flotation process,the performance of stirred tank determines the efficiency and capacity of ore flotation.With the improvement of industrial processing capacity,the large scale of mixing equipment becomes an inevitable trend,and it is widely used in metallurgy and chemical industry.The mechanical mixing equipment,mechanical energy through the rotation of the impeller into kinetic energy of fluid flow to form a whole body,complete the mass and heat transfer.Due to the large mixing tank stirrer impeller diameter,torque and bending moment,and by the media,impeller,construction quality and mixing effect,and therefore the overall shape of the impeller stirring groove flow form groove and impeller in structure is closely related to the flow characteristics of the mixing tank and the impeller impeller in-depth understanding the design of the shape design based on mixing equipment optimization.With the development of computer technology,computational fluid dynamics(CFD)has become an important method to study the flow field and the field of multiphase flow.In this paper,Euler theory internal flow field for large slurry mixing tank based on two-phase flow numerical simulation,studied the effects of three different impeller shape on the slurry concentration distribution.The numerical results show that the large slurry stirred tank mixing process will form a zone of negative pressure in the impeller rotating vortex around,instead of the negative pressure region on.The velocity maximum propulsion type impeller in an impeller blade area and the standard clover generated velocity minimum turbulence effect is small;in terms of speed and slurry concentration under the same standard six straight leaf blade impeller and six inclined blade open turbine impeller in the mixing process will have bottom settlement area,pulp density distribution is uneven,the best mixing effect.
