In recent years,the rigid aromatic carboxylic acid ligands-based coordination compounds have shown superiority in microporous adsorption,catalyst,materials,light,electricity and magnetic fields,therefore,the research of complexes of rigid aromatic carboxylic acid is of great significance.In this paper,we choose naphthalene-2,6-dicarboxylic acid monomethyl ester?NDADE?and 3-?4-carboxylphenyl?-6-carboxylpyridine acid?H2cpcpa?as organic ligands coordinated with different metal ions to form ten coordination compounds and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction?XRD?,elemental analysis,Infrared Radiation spectra?IR?,thermogravimetric analysis?TGA?and PXRD etc.Moreover,luminescent properties of the parts of complexes have also been investigated.The main contents are as follows:?1?Two new complexes formulated as [M?NDAME?2H2O]?(M=Zn2+,1;M=Cd3+,2;NDAME=naphthalene-2,6-dicarboxylic acid monomethyl ester)have been synthesized through in situ hydrolysis of naphthalene-2,6-dicarboxylic acid dimethyl ester?NDADE?.In compound 1,each NDAME ligand bridges two Zn2+ into a 1D chain in a ?2-?1: ?1coordination mode,in which carboxyl groups and Zn2+ centers construct a distorted8-membered ring.In compound 2,Cd2+ metal centers are joined into 1D chain by NDAME ligand in ?2-?1: ?2 coordination mode,in which Cd2+ centers and carboxyl oxygens are interconnected into an inorganic Cd-O chain.The fluorescent properties of compounds 1 and2 were investigated in the solid state and in various solvent emulsions,which show that the photoluminescence of compounds 1 and 2 are all highly sensitive quenched by NB and 2-NT as well as Cu2+ ion and Fe3+ ion,showing that they might be fluorescent sensors for highly sensitive detection of small molecules and metal ions.?2?Four new complexes formulated as {[Co2?cpcpa?2?H2O?8].2H2O}n?3?,{[Ni?cpcpa??H2O?4].2H2O}n?4?,{[Cu4??2-O?2??3-O?2?cpcpa?2?H2O?2].2H2O}n?5?and[Pb3?cpcpa?2?NO3??H2O?]n?6??H2cpcpa=3-?4-carboxylphenyl?-6-carboxylpyridine acid?have been synthesized under solvethermal conditions.In compound 3,two cpcpa2-ligand bridges two Co2+ into a binuclear complex in ?2-?N,O:?O? coordination mode,the adjacent binuclear structures bridged through hydrogen bonding into 2D supramolecular layer net.In compound 4,each cpcpa2-ligand bridges one Co2+ into a nuclear complex in ?2-?N,O coordination mode,the adjacent binuclear structures bridged through hydrogen bonding into2 D supramolecular layer net.In compound 5,Cu4O4 secondary building units?SBUs?are joined into a 1D chain by ?3-O6,the adjacent 1D chain connected by cpcpa2-anions adopting?3-?N,O:?O?:?O??coordination mode into 2D layer network,the adjacent 2D layer formed through hydrogen bonding into 3D supramolecular net.In compound 6,Pb3 SBUs are joined by cpcpa2-anions adopting ?6-?N,O:?O:?O?:?O??:?O??:?O??? and ?5-?N,O:?O:?O?:?O??,O???:?O???coordination mode into a 1D chain,the adjacent 1D chains formed into a 3D metal-organic frameworks.Moreover,luminescent properties of complex 6 have also been investigated.?3?Four lsomorphic complexes formulated as [Ln2?Hcpcpa?4?cpcpa??H2O?3]n?Ln=Eu?7?,Ce?8?,Pr?9?,Nd?10???H2cpcpa=3-?4-carboxylphenyl?-6-carboxylpyridine acid?have been synthesized under solvethermal conditions.In compounds 7-10,binuclear Ln2O3 SBUs are joined by cpcpa2-anions adopting ?3-?N,O:?O:?O? coordination mode into a 1D chain,the adjacent 1D chains formed into a 2D supramolecular layer net through hydrogen bonding.Moreover,luminescent properties of complex 7 have also been investigated.
