Most commercial medical antibacterial agents available are quaternary ammonium salt and nano silver ions antimicrobial agents in our life.However,they are controversial in the scientific community due to the potential danger tohuman body,which makes the selection and preparation of non-side-effect medical antibacterial agents become an important research subject.Therefore,the preparation of natural broad-spectrum antibacterial microcapsules made from Chinese gallnut,sodium alginate and chitosan is proposed,and its application in textile and medical industry is of great value in both scientific and social fields.Orifice granulation method was applied along with natural polymer materials in this paper.Antimicrobial sodium alginate and chitosan were used as wall materials while antimicrobial gallnut with detoxification function were used as the core materials.Those materials were acquired by controlling the process parameters of calcium chloride mass fraction,sodium alginate mass fraction,chitosan mass fraction and the radio of the sodium alginate and gallnut drugs.Then the single factors experiment and orthogonal design experiment were both carried out,and finally the production processes of the optimal control parameters were established.The preparation method is convenient,cheap and easy to operate,making it suitable for large scale popularization and development.Meanwhile,various analysis methods for microcapsules including SEM,particle size analysis,FTIR,XRD,the stability and slow-release analysis were applied to characterize the morphology and structure.The agar diffusion plate method and the shake flask method were chosen to test the antibacterial properties.On this basis,the natural antibacterial microcapsules were applied to cotton gauze to make compound dressings,whose antibacterial effects were then explored.Throughout the microcapsules preparation,the combination laws of carboxyl functional groups of sodium alginate and chitosan amino functional groups with the gallnut phenolichydroxyl groups were discovered and confirmed.The structural properties,chemical composition and slow-release effect were fully reveled by the microscopic parameters.It is vital to master the antibacterial mechanism of the wall materials and the core materials,which are fundamental to successful antibacterial microcapsules preparation.In this way,it is able to realize their application in medical dressings and to improve the situation where traditional medical dressings were of poor antibacterial effect and the short replacement cycle.This paper lays a solid foundation for the realization of controllable microcapsules preparation process,which is of significant value for theory research and application.
