The dual-gradient drilling(DGD)technology which has get rapid development at abroad and commercial applications can solve a series of difficult problems associated with deep water drilling.But as the key technology and equipment of the dual-gradient drilling(DGD)technology,the subsea mudlift disc pump develops slowly in China.Focusing on the design of disc pump,the paper supported by the project of "Research on Subsea Mud-lift Drilling Technology(2008ZX0526-001-12)" sponsored by National Science and Technology Major Special Project undertake the research of allocation and design of the Disc pump.The paper is to study it in the following four aspects:(1)reference to the literature at home and abroad to calculate the parameters of the dual-gradient drilling technology,and allocation design of allocation in different conditions.(2)Perform the numerical simulation of the large number of Disc pump with Fluent,Pro/E,Gambit simulation software,and use the experience coefficient method to conduct the Disc pump design with the result analysis of numerical simulation,to deduce the formulas of the impeller structural parameters such as the impeller outer diameter,disc space,ratio of blade length and impeller outer diameter,then verify those formulas,Programming on the Disc pump size,and analyze the influence of impeller structural parameters on pump hydraulic performance.(3)Choose Excellent hydraulic model of Disc pump,and conduct hydraulic design using Affinity Law,then draw Disc pump spectrum diagram.(4)Have the motor selection for Disc pump and come up with a Sealing Scheme using magnetic coupling.
