The rapid development of nanomaterials has led to great changes in the field of materials,especially with the innovation of modern characterization,analytical techniques and nano-materials preparation technology,the simple system construction of nanomaterials has also been developed to the complex system development.Compared with bulk materials,nanomaterials exhibit unique properties such as small size effects,quantum tunneling effects,and the like,and thus have more excellent properties than bulk materials.As an important n-type semiconductor,indium oxide has wide band gap,small resistivity and high catalytic activity,and is widely used in the fields of photocatalysis,sensors,light-emitting diodes,etc.In recent years,the researchers have prepared a large number of different morphologies and structure of indium oxide nano-materials through a variety of physical and chemical methods.In this paper,the development and prospect of nanomaterials and indium oxide nanomaterials are introduced.The basic structures and properties of indium oxide materials and their preparation methods are summarized.Based on the similarity between the properties of indium oxide and titanium dioxide,indium oxide powder was prepared by hydrothermal method.The nanostructures were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and field emission scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The results showed that the juglans-like indium oxide nanospheres was successfully,and other morphologies of indium oxide nanostructures were also prepared.In order to study the optical properties of the prepared indium oxide nanomaterials,the photoluminescence(PL)spectra and photocatalytic properties of indium oxide were studied.According to the experimental results,we can know in this experiment,indium oxide nanomaterials have several emission peaks from ultraviolet to visible light region,and the strongest peak is located in 482 nm.The photocatalytic properties of rhodamine B(Rh B)were determined by testing the degradation of rhodamine B powder at different time.Compared with other prepared indium oxide nanostructures,the photocatalytic activity of indium oxide nanospheres showed a good photocatalytic activity.
