Based on the process of submarine pipeline laying by Shengli 902 pipelaying engineering barge(hereinafter referred to as Shengli902),the pipeline laying operation mode are studied,Shengli902 seakeeping response and mooring system are analyzed,submarine pipeline basic parameter design,and stinger system strength check are also performed.The research result is significant for submarine pipeline laying operation by Shengli 902.This paper introduces the advantages,disadvantages and applicable range of pipelaying vessel operation methods such as reel method,J-lay and S-lay,and it gives a brief introduction to the development process of S-lay and its current domestic and international development situation.For Shengli902,three dimensional potential flow scratch shot/radiation source distribution are used for seakeeping response analysis and hydrodynamic calculation of mooring analysis.In which,the ship motion coefficient RAOS analyzed from seakeeping response provides reference for the dynamic calculation of Shengli902 submarine pipeline laying process,and extreme hydrological environment parameter by mooring analysis constitutes the elementary condition to judge whether Shengli902 could lay pipeline under certain waters.Bases on a certain natural gas transmission project,submarine pipeline on-process strength check is conducted with reference to the relevant content of Specification DNV-OS-F101,generalized the whole design process of parameter selection of submarine pipeline diameter and wall thickness for design and calculation.Detailed calculations of stress on pipeline during Shengli902 S-lay operation are conducted with engineering examples,and this paper presents computing models such as start and normal laying,abandonment & recovery operation,etc.Pipeline laying capacity of Shengli902 is assessed.On the basis of combining OFFPIPE calculation result,the stinger overall and local strength calculation checking are conducted by ANSYS,and the result verifies that the structure of stinger is safe.
