Oil field monitoring has always been an important measure to secure the oil production and its management, especially for our oil field’s scattered and remote distribution situation. With the rapid development of RTU(Remote Terminal Unit) technology, oil field monitoring gradually entered a digital, intelligent stage. Relying on oil field RTU systems to monitor the status of the oil production will help the staff to find the problems in the production process, and help the managers to adjust production work plans. Therefore, it’s significant to design and to carry out research on oil field RTU systems.For the current oil field production situation that as the most of the equipment condition monitoring and data collection were in the artificial stage, the oil field equipments’ failures were hard to be detected in time and production data were failed to be reported to the superiors in real time, the thesis developed an oil field RTU system based on ARM.The main research contents are as follows:Firstly, the thesis summarized the current researches and the application technologies of the RTU systems domestic and overseas, and put forward the overall design scheme to realize the oil field data monitoring based on the working principles and characters, as well as the relevant performance indications in oil field, with the implement of the high-performance MCU and effective algorithm.Secondly, the thesis discussed some key technologies in the system design. According to the oilfield requirement of real-time monitoring, it carried out some real-time plannings about data acquisition and communication. With regard to reliability of the oilfield monitoring, it discussed the anti-interference design from the aspects of hardware and software. For the accuracy of the data acquisition problem, it presented an improved digital filtering algorithm.Thirdly, the thesis gave the detailed hardware and software design for the RTU slave station in the oil field RTU systems. The hardware system was based on STMS32F103VET6, which performs excellent in the ARM serials. The designed main modular circuits included analog input and output modules, digital input and output modules, RS232 modules, RS485 modules, memory modules, power modules and etc. The software system was based on Keil uVision4. Each software problem combined with hardware circuits was good in expansibility. And the μC/OS-II operation system was transplanted in the system to improve the real-time property and reliability of the system.Finally, the thesis tested the functions of the slave station of the designed oilfield RTU systems. Relying on the software platform of Modbus Poll, modules of the systems were debugged. As a result, the reliability and stability of the systems were verified.
