With the deepening of energy structure adjustment and great development of economic in china, the rate of urban gas supply has a huge boost than in the past, and the average is above 90%.Since the household gas consumption has reached recedented 30 billion cubic metres, the energy-saving and emission-reduction of civil gas stoves are not only a major gas industry needs but an important indicator of gas R & D. In addition, along with rising of the living standards, people’s pursuit of quality of life has fixed a new flight of steps. Therefore, the comprehensive development of attractive, high efficiency, high power and easy to clean gas stove has become the mainstream direction of the development of the gas appliance manufacturers.The supply of secondary air of gas stove has very remarkable influence on thermal efficiency and CO emission, especially for simple structure of gas stove, the supply is even more critical. However because the flow of secondary air is unpowered supplement, current velocity is small and has no fixed flow channel, making it harder to have a research on it. In this paper flow visualization technique is used to have a qualitative research on the flow of secondary air, and meanwhile CFD modeling technique is used to have a quantitative research on the supply of secondary air of gas stove. The comparative analysis of the results of flow visualization and numerical simulation reveals that: the flow visualization technique used can well display the track of secondary air supplying to the flame, the incoming secondary air is not only in the process of combustion, but partly supplied to the inner side of outer ring flame, and forming a swirl between the inner and outer rings, and the results of numerical simulation show clearly the flowing path of secondary air and the swirl between the inner and outer rings, the swirl reduces the content of CO in flue gas but also promotes the complete combustion of the fuel and improves the thermal efficiency. Through the study of the flow characteristic of secondary air can contribute some guidance to the design of gas range.According to the market research, the simple structure of gas range is one of the widely accepted form. Therefore, in this paper, we designed a new structure of anti overflow for the simple structure of cooker, adopted flow visualization technique of secondary air to optimize the supply of secondary air in this structure and CFD modeling technique to optimize the structure of ejector, and completed performance experiment of new structure gas stove in the standard test stands, and finally achieved the excellent thermal performance of thermal efficiency was 67.5% and CO emission was 208 ppm, successfully developed a gas stove all in one with simple structure, generous appearance, high efficiency and low pollution, anti overflow and easy to clean.
