With high-power, large angle, large capacity downward belt conveyor is playing an increasingly important role in coal production, which is safe and reliable, to ensure smooth operation of the mine to normal, safe and efficient production has an important significance. Brake device as a key unit of the belt conveyor transport safety, security and braking stability plays an important role in the safe operation of the belt conveyor and production..In recent years, as China's scientific and technological level, braking technology is gradually improving, but for power, transportation, long distance belt conveyor belt when it is running too fast, the general brake deceleration them in order to avoid excessive heat caused by prolonged braking problems, we are in a relatively short period of time its brake, and this can easily lead to "speed" phenomenon. Therefore, this article presents a new brake system-water-cooled multi-disc friction brake which basically can be solved easily when the next run too fast "speed" of the situation, in order to achieve continuous deceleration and braking. The study includes the following aspects:(1) The structure and composition of the working principle of the proposed new water-cooled multiple disc friction brakes were introduced in detail, by comparison of the different characteristics of the brake, to give a water-cooled multi-disc friction brake has a continuous deceleration and braking advantages;(2) Water-cooled multi-disc friction brake friction pair material selection as well as friction, disc spring, pistons, shafts, inlet and other core components for a detailed analysis and design, obtained by analysis and calculation of the relevant dimensions assembly has been two-dimensional map of the overall structure of the three-dimensional assembly drawing.(3) Water-cooled multi-plate friction brake hydraulic system design is analyzed and improved.(4) The use of Fluent fluid finite element analysis software, analyzed under different pressures, different structures between the grooves on the friction plateheat flow field and thus affect their choice groove structure, import pressure provides a reasonable basis.The innovation of this paper is to combine the advantages of water-cooled brakes and advantages of the multi-plate friction brake, it proposed a new brake system- water-cooled multi-disc friction brake which can be a long time in the making conveyor brake status, and through modeling and simulation analysis,the rational structure of the slotted disc burning phenomenon can be solved because of its excessive heat caused. So more suitable for high-power, large angle, a large amount of a delivery and carry belt conveyor, it has broad prospects for development.
