Within the economic globalization,China is under huge stress to reduce carbon emission.Global warming is a looming serious threat to us and carbon emission reduction has been generally respected to alleviate the problem.In recent years,because of adjusting and upgrading of industrial structure,energy saving and emission is under the huge pressure.With the rapid development of carbon emission trade and new low-carbon technology in China and the increasing environmental awareness of consumers,manufacturers have to take carbon emission reduction and consumer preference of low-carbon into consideration.It is feasible for manufacturers to reduce carbon emission.For the carbon emission reduction,it can not only exert good enterprise image but also strongly effect production decision and profit of the manufacturer.This will make sense in both theory and practice if consumer preference of low-carbon is introduced to traditional supply chain coordination.The paper focuses upon the effect of carbon emission reduction and consumer preference of low-carbon on production decision of manufacturer and supply chain coordination strategy.Firstly,this paper models a basic supply chain contains a single manufacturer and a single retailer in the certain demand.For effective and distinct analysis,there are four comparative cases.In the first case,the manufacturer does not need to reduce carbon emission.Then the manufacturer can choose to reduce carbon emission voluntarily.And in the third case,the manufacturer will reduce carbon emission in the condition of cap and trade.In the last case,the manufacturer will reduce carbon emission with the impact of carbon tax.The extend model is a supply chain in the uncertain demand.Firstly,we find quantity of reducing carbon emission varies in different cases from the certain demand model.Consumer preference of low-carbon can promote carbon emission reduction and its influence on the price of low-carbon product is also positive.With the increasing of carbon price,the manufacturer will reduce carbon emission more positively.Its profit will decrease if the carbon price is low and it will increase when the carbon price becoming higher.However the impact of carbon tax on the reducing carbon emission is negative.When the carbon price is lower than a critical value,the manufacturer will reduce more quantity of carbon emission.In the carbon tax case,the conclusion is similar.In the three reducing carbon emission cases,manufacturer's profit is higher than it doesn't reduce carbon emission.When consumer preference of low-carbon is low,profit of manufacturer reduce carbon emission voluntarily is the highest and manufacturer in cap and trade is lowest.As consumer preference of low-carbon becoming higher,profit of manufacturer in cap and trade increase faster.At last,profit of manufacturer in cap and trade is the highest.Then,the results of model in the uncertain demand shows the order quantity of the retailer in cap and trade is higher than without reducing carbon emission.When the quantity of reducing carbon emission is lower than a critical value,both manufacturer and retailer in cap and trade will improve their profit.Furthermore the model demonstrates if the unit cost of low-carbon technology is in a certain condition,the total quantity of carbon emission will decrease in the case of cap and trade.At last,conclusions in the models are verified with the functional image of numerical analysis of Mathematica 8.0.In addition,supply chain coordination strategies are made based on Shapley value and revenue sharing contract in both certain demand and uncertain demand conditions.
