In view of the waste of industrial iron sludge during the production of 4,4'-diamino-2,2'-disulfonic acid(DSD acid).Novel cathodic-anodic-electrolysis packing(CAEP)used to deal with the pyridine wastewater was researched in this paper,which is mainly consisted of DSD acid industrial iron sludge.The physical character of CAEP was studied according to GB/T17431.2-2010.The appearance and internal-cross-section of cathodic-anodic-electrolysis packing were detected by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The feasibility of the treatment of pyridine wastewater by using CAEP was studied by single factor experiment.The result was discussed by the removal efficiency of pyridine and total organic carbon(TOC).The efficiency of CAEP was enhanced by using filter in series and adding extra electric field.The bulk density,grain density,porosity and specific surface area of CAEP were studied according to GB/T17431.1-1998.The result show that the CAEP has big specific surface area(29.89 m2/g),the bulk density(921 kg/m3)and grain density(1086 kg/m3)werevery lower.Therefore,the CAEP is lightweight packing.What'smore,it has big bibulous rate(25%)and void fraction(43%)which enhanced the connection between wastewater and packing.What's more,the SEM of CAEP show that it's very rough on its surface,and the packing is rich in particals.The removal efficiency was studied by the single factor experiment to explore the different pH,hydraulic retention time(HRT),gas liquid ratio(A/L).The removal efficiency of pyridine and TOC can reach 58%and 50%at the optimal condition(pH=3,HRT = 6 h,A/L = 2).The intermediate products were studied by liquid chromate graph/mass spectrometer(LS/MS).The resultshown that pyridine was degraded into small-molecular substance.The removal efficiency was increased by two-staged reactors in series.As a consequence,the removal efficiency was enhanced double when adjust the pH of the fist reactor.What's more,the removal of pyridine and TOC was enhanced when added external electric field into packing.The packing processing efficiency was improved obviously.In the continuous running experiments,the packing was not harden after the reactor continued to run for a month.The service life of the packing is about six months in the pretreatment of pyridine wastewater.Compared to the traditional micro electrolysis technology,the service life of the packing has been greatly improved.Summary:Novel cathodic-anodic-electrolysis packing has good resistance to harden,which consisted of DSD acid industrial sludge.During the process of pretreatment of pyridine wastewater,the removal efficiency of pyridine and TOC can reach 58%and 50%under the optimal conditions(pH=3,HRT=6 h,A/L=2).On the other hand,the packing has not harden after keep working 30 days.The service life was extended.
