In this study,we focus on the treatment of liquor wastewater,whose water concentration is about 2200 m3/d and the average concentration of COD,pH,TP,TN were 8400mg/L,4.8,160mg/L and 185mg/L,respectively,produced by Jinpai Co.,Ltd.The treatment of liquor wastewater via using anaerobic treatment(anaerobic upflow reactor),aerobic treatment(A3O/A2O)and physical and chemical treatment(activated carbon adsorption,etc.)was studied.Monitoring results showed that the final effluent achieved discharge standards of《the discharge of alcohol and liquor industry water pollutant》(CODcr≤100mg/L,BOD5≤30mg/L,SS≤50mg/L,NH4+-N≤10mg/L、TN≤20mg/L,TP≤1.0mg/L).This paper mainly studied from two aspects.Firstly,the actual operation of UASB reactor would be concerned.And second,UASB reactor performance would be optimized.By monitoring the operational indicators of Maple Winery Treatment Station for2 years,the effect of UASB reactor on the treatment of liquor wastewater was analyzed.The results were shown below:(1)Using Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket(UASB)reactor,a high and stable removal rate on the COD could be gained in liquor wastewater treatment.And more than 94%of COD can be removed from white spirit via UASB.However,when referring to the TP and TN,a poor removal rates were found in actual operation process.The average removal rate of TP and TN were only 16%and 20%,respectively.(2)Suitable temperature must be provided in white spirit production.It remained at 3542℃in summer.Due to low ambient temperature in winter,it was needed to keep the temperature on 28℃in UASB reactor via steam heating.(3)During monitoring,the average concentration of VFA was 4.2 mmol/L(251.8 mg/L in acetic acid),which was less than the threshold(800mg/L).(4)PH change is relatively stable,whose value was between 6.8 and 7.5.In the process of optimizing UASB reactor performance we found that:(1)Low or high temperature had a negative impact on the UASB reactor.When the temperature was at 3540℃,COD removal rate reached highest,up to 95%.The removal rate of TN and TP were still low when the temperature changes.Fluctuation in TN removal rate was confirmed with the increase of temperature.The highest removal rate was 19%when temperature was at 2535℃.The highest removal rate of TP was up to 31%at 3540℃.(2)When pH was between 6 and 7,UASB reactor operated the best and COD removal rate was up to 90%.The removal rate of TN increased with the increase of pH as a whole,whose maximum removal rate is 24%.Taking into account the removal of TN,it increased first and then decreased in the case of pH increase.The maximum removal rate of TP was 20%when the influent pH was 7.(3)With the decrease of HRT,COD and TN removal rates decreased,but TP removal rate increased.When the HRT was at 110150h,COD removal rate was up to95%.When HRT was 150h,the maximum removal rate of TN was 27%.On the contrary,the maximum removal rate of TP could get to 20.5%when HRT was the minimum.(4)With the increase of the reflux ratio,the removal of COD was rising all along.When the reflux ratio was greater or equal to 20%,90%of COD could be removed from white spirit.When increased the reflux ratio,TN and TP removal rates had increased slowly,but the growth wasn’t obvious.
