The technique of short radius sidetracking for horizontal wells is a effective way to rebuild production for old wells and increase the production for old oil field. With the development of Bohai oil field, the distribution of remaining oil is complex, the contradiction of wells and layers is gradually increasing. The production time efficiency of some oil field reaches between 8% to 10%. Besides, the problem of finite controlling area by production well exists in offshore oil field. By producing remaining oil and increasing production capacity of oil field, the key point is reducing the development costs in Bohai oil field. The drilling slot in platform is limited and the wells are mainly directional and horizontal wells in offshore oil field. According the reservoir property, it is important to reduce the formation pollution and satisfy the requirements of national environmental regulations. Drilling and casing window sidetracking in the original wellbore is implemented and it satisfies the requirements of short radius wellbore trajectory. In this paper, the area structure and reservoir characteristics have been studied. The techniques of multiple wells with high angle curvature on one side tracking window, short radius sidetrack drilling in soft formation, short radius of the wellbore and drilling and well completion string stiffness adaptive design methods, large curvature of slimhole sand control and well cementation sand control integration have been tackled. Integrate the research innovation above, a technology production system was made to solve the difficult problems in Suizhong 36 oilfield development adjustment in offshore production well like the limitation of plug slot to control reservoir area development ,high investment, rapid production decline..In this paper, the preparation of Bohai Suizhong 36 oilfield sidetracking short radius the current Bohai oilfield development and adjustment of the old oil field production technology as the premise, according to the regional stratigraphic loose whipstocking difficult and short radius track whipstocking section requires high build rate, need to measure the spacing to high build rate and lag the track, no leeway, need to study motor assembly in the near bit inclination measuring function, ensure the drilling and completion column to satisfy the requirements of slim hole curvature, while ensuring its rigid structure, must adapt to the change of curvature.Based on the distribution mode of surrounding remaining oil and requirements of improving the flooding pattern, it is of importance to study the techniques of completion with large hole curvature in slim hole and well cementation sand control integration to satisfy equilibrium displacement and balanced flood to increasing the liquid rate. We should combined drilling, mechanics, mathematics and decision theory to conduct a comprehensive planning and research, optimization of short radius sidetracking production plan,Implementate scientific economic and effective tapping the potential of remaining oil and improve the recovery rate.
