In recent years,as the main device used mechanical oil production, the beam pumping unit accounts for more than 80% in most of the oilfield. However, there are several problems, such as unreasonable structure design and low efficiency, needed to be settled. With the development of science and technology and computer technology,Finite element analysis and virtual prototyping technology are widely used in the field of mechanical design and analysis. The technology can greatly save design time and reduce design costs, improve equipment operation safety, reliability and economy. In this paper, using CYJ10-3-37 HB beam pumping unit as the special case, the mechanical properties of the key components in the pumping unit are studied by combining Virtual Prototyping with Finite Element Simulation to ensure its efficient and safe operation.Firstly, the structure and working principle of CYJ10-3-37 HB beam type pumping unit are expounded, and its kinematics and dynamics models are mathematical analyzed, and the kinematic formulas such as displacement, velocity and acceleration are deduced in detail. The composition and influencing factors of the suspension load and the crank output torque are analyzed, which is the theoretical basis for the subsequent simulation and finite element analysis.Secondly, the CYJ10-3-37 HB beam pumping unit is modeled by Solid Works 3D modeling technology and imported into Adams for kinematics and dynamics simulation analysis. The dynamic performance of key components, such as the support, walking beam, the connecting rod and the crank, are analyzed.Based on the simulation results, reduction of the motor power was proposed to solve the problem of large horse car,and aiming at the poor balance of crank torque, the paper use optimization analysis techniques to adjust the crank balance position to reduce the negative torque amplitude, and improve the mechanical properties of pumping units and system efficiency. Finally,ANSYS Workbench software was used to analyze the static and mechanical analysis of key components of CYJ10-3-37 HB beam pumping unit.Aiming at the problem of stress concentration in the support and walking beam components, the structural improvement measures are put forward and verified by simulation to improve the structural safety factor and ensure the safe and reliable operation of the parts.Using the modal analysis technique to analyze the natural frequency of the whole machine and the parts, the result shows that the natural frequency is far from the working frequency and does not resonate, and the runningprocess is smooth.
