Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)are harmful to human health.With the improvement of people living standards,people pay more attention to the air quality.In this paper,TiO2-graphene hybrid photocatalyts exposed {001} facets was synthesized,and toluene which is a kind of VOCs was purified by using hybrid photocatalyts.Another volatile organic compounds – acetone was purified by the adsorption of activated carbon fiber(ACF),and the adsorption performance of ACF under different conditions was studied.Using modified Hummers method to synthesize graphene oxide(GO)which used to synthesize grapheme.Using hydrothermal method to synthesize {001} TiO2–graphene hybrid photocatalysts.Using hydrofluoric acid to control the growth of {001} high energy facets during the synthesis process.XRD,TEM,SEM characterization methods were used to analyze the hybrid photocatalysts.Anatase TiO2 coated on the graphene sheet.The average crystal size of TiO2 and the stacking of graphene sheets are affected by the amount of graphite oxide.Adding hydrofluoric acid to control the growth of {001} facets,and the selective etching phenomenon happened on the crystal surface.Response surface method was used to optimize the synthesis parameters of hybrid photocatalysts,and after the ANVOA it was found that the model can be used to predict the photodegradation of toluene.The optimal synthesis conditions were GO 22.06 mg,HF 2.09 m L and hydrothermal time 28 h.The degradation rate of toluene reached 88.7% when the hybrid catalysts were synthesized under optimal synthesis conditions,and the predicted value was close to experimental results.By comparing the experimental results,we found that ACF has better absorption ability than the spherical activated carbon particles.When acetone concentration increased from 30 ppm to 90 ppm,penetration time is shortened.When gas flow speed increased from 0.08 m/s to 0.44 m/s,penetration time is gradually reduced.When the layer number of ACF increased from 3 to 10,the penetration time increased.The experiment is to design the air purification devices based on ACF.
