Recently,coordination polymers have drew increasingly interest because of their attractive topology as well as promising applications such as luminescence,molecular magnetism,catalysis,ion exchange.In fact,up to now,it is still a difficult questions to design and synthesize the expected coordination polymers for researchers.It is well known that there are a lot of different factors influence the final structures of coordination polymers,for instance,central metals,inorganic/organic anions,selection of ligands,synthetic methods,pH values,reaction temperatures.Among these,organic ligands have proven to be most significant factor to framing of coordination polymers.So far,multifunctional ligands as well as the aromatic multicarboxylate ligands were enthusiastically adopted and widely welcomed because it can be used to construction versatile coordination networks.Among them,bifunctional organic ligands including tetrazole and carboxylate groups and biphenyl-tricarboxylic acid have been more widely utilized in the construction of coordination polymers.On the basis of 5-(4-(tetrazol-5-yl)phenyl)isophthalic acid(H3TPA)and biphenyl-3,4',5-tricarboxylic acid(H3BPT)as the ligand,we fortunately synthesized eight intriguing coordination polymers,namely,{[Co2(TPA)(?3-O)]·0.5DMA}n(1),{[Co4(TPA)2(?3-O)2(H2O)3]·4H2On(2),{[Co(H2TPA)(bibp)(H20)3]·H2On(3),{[Mn(H2TPA)(bibp)(H2O)3]·H2O}n(4),{[Zn2(TPA)(?3-O)(H20)3]·DMF}n(5),{[Zn2(TPA)(phen)(H2O)]·H2O}n(6),{[Cd3(TPA)2(phen)4]·4H2O}n(7),[Nd(BPT)(DMF)(H2O)]n(8).Polymer 1 is a 3D network which connect by[Co3(?3-O)]moiety and H3TPA,topologically,the[Co3(?3-O)]moiety is an 5-connected nodes and the H3TPA is an 3-connected nodes.Polymer 2 exhibits a 3D network based on the 4-membered ring[Co6(O)2(TPA)2]and a 8-membered ring[Co12(O)4(TPA)4]n.Polymer 3 and 4 show a one-dimensional zigzag chain based two kind of ligands.Polymer 5 has a three-dimensional(3D)framework formed by the 6-membered ring[Zn3(?3-O)(TPA)3]n.6 exhibits an 3D(4,4)-connected net based on the binuclear metal clusters and TPA3-ligand.The three-dimensional network for polymer 7 can be described as a(3,4,2)-connected network.8 exhibits a three-dimensional framework formed by the dimers.According to the structures of these eight coordination polymers,we have analysized the effect of the central metals,the auxiliary N-donor ligands and different solvent systems on the construction of coordination polymers.In addition,all of the polymers have been investigated by the methods of elemental analysis,infrared spectrometry,PXRD,single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and Thermogravimetric Analysis.At the same time,the magnetic of the polymers 1,3,4 and the photoluminescence of the polymers 5-8 were measured and analyzed.Polymers 1,3,4exhibit antiferromagnetic exchange properties and 5-7 display good fluorescence properties.
