Based on the basic theory of groundwater flow,this paper analyzes the effect of oxidation pond wastewater in a coal mine in Hulunbuir,the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.On the basis of analyzing regional geological condition and regional hydro-geological condition,including stratum lithology,supply,feature of runoff and drainage,hydrogeological feature and influences of dynamic groundwater,modeling the hydrogeology conceptual model and the groundwater mathemati-cal model.It shows the hydrogeological condition in the area.With the MODFLOW of GMS,it can simulate the groundwater flow field.Modeling the hydrogeology conceptual model and the groundwater mathematical model about the solute transport.With the MT3D of GMS,it can do the dynamic simulation about groundwater flow and the solute transport.According the numerical simulation study about oxidation pond wastewater,we analyzed the pollutant pathways and pollution scope,and put forward corresponding preventive measures.The main conclusions in this paper are as follows:In this study,the study area is divided into three layers and the hydrogeological parameters are divided into five areas.According to relevant information,we set up and adjust the reasonable parameter.The model is stable and consistent.The model target is the quaternary aquifer.By the solute transport simulation,chlorine ion is the tracer ion.tracer ion and fluoride ion are the simulate ion.Without adsorption and chemical reaction,the results shows that the pollution halo areas is expanding and the center of the pollution halo is moving to the lower reaches by time.The scope of pollution is increasing.Oxidation pond wastewater has an effect on the downstream shallow groundwater.
