In recent years, with the rapid development of high-speed railway, the advantage that electric locomotive power, strong overload capacity, high traction, high speed,low cost and no air pollution has emerged. The locomotive condition has attracted more and more attention. Among them, the traction transformer of locomotive is an important part of the electric locomotive, according to the working state of the transformer can predict the operating state of the electric locomotive, which is contingent on transformer oil test.At present, China's railway industry does not have its own unified standards of transformer oil performance indexes and limit value. In this paper, through the field test data of transformer oil in the north and south of China, compares the difference of the performance indexes of transformer oil and the change rule of transformer oil.There are some differences in the performance indexes of transformer oil in the southern and northern electric locomotive. This difference has a great correlation with environmental conditions. Transformer oil is same in different regions. We use SPSS software to do the ROC curve analysis of transformer oil field test data. Combined with the actual test, the limit value of the physical and chemical indexes of the transformer oil is determined, which can be used as a guide for field testing.With the development of high speed railway, the railway industry urgently needs to establish the method of the transformer oil acid number in accordance with the characteristics of high speed railway. The acid number is an important index to reflect the transformer oil of electric locomotive. At present, the acid number of transformer oil is measured by NB/SH/T 0836-2010 and GB264-83 method.GB/T7304-2014 method is for the determination of acid number of petroleum products. By means of nonparametric test and regression analysis, the conversion relationship between the three methods was determined.
