LNG belongs to the ultra-low temperature, flammable, explosive substances, Once the leak, will have a serious disaster. Therefore,it is important to ensure the safety of -LNG storage tank under accidental load.in this paper, taking a 160000 m3 full containment LNG storage tank as an example. The whole finite element model is established and the dynamic response under earthquake is analyzed. The main research contents are as follows:(1) This paper investigated the influence of steel dome and liquid on LNG's storage tank dynamic characteristic. The result indicates that vibration distortion of storage tank shell is proximity to the natural mode of vibration of the concrete wall. And it motivates the multi-modal. The liquid has a significant impact LNG's dynamic characteristic while steel dome has hardly any effect.(2) The seismic behaviors of the LNG's storage tank with different liquid level height and under different seismic load were proposed based on time-history analysis. The result shows that stress and deformation of the tank increase with increasing of liquid height. Stress and deformation towards direction of seismic propagation under one-directional earthquake ground motion. And they are larger than those under bi-directional earthquake ground motion.(3) The repose of pile-soil under static and dynamic horizontal loads were studied. The result indicates that the unfavourable location located in the top and the le to middle to lower part of peripheral pile. The selection principle of pure soil areas were verified. Variation trend stress and deformation under static are similar to those under dynamic which much larger in magnitude.
