Since the 1960 s, offshore oil and gas resources mining technology of China develops from none to maturing gradual. So far our country in offshore oil and gas mining technology has a completely independent intellectual property rights.However our exploitation technology of oil and gas resources in the worse and more complex deep sea environment is still relatively lacking. In recent years, some countries in southeast Asia constantly predatory Marine resources at the sea economic zone of our country by virtue of advanced western marine technology. We have urgent need for independent intellectual property rights of the deep sea Marine resources exploitation technology.The paper aimed to design a deep water diamond wire saw machine that suits to working at the deep water zone on the basis of principle experiment prototype and engineering prototype suits for shallow sea zone, and to analysis the mechanism of the diamond grit cutting steel, as well as to research the life prediction of the sintering diamond beads rope.The paper introduced the development of the underwater diamond wire saw machine at home and abroad and related technology research status of the diamond beads rope,and also analyzed the surface topography of diamond beads. The paper also defined the principle,working environment and characteristic of the underwater diamond wire saw machine,and designed the deep water diamond wire saw machine suits to working at 500 meters deep water in the sea on this basis.The paper established the simplified physical model of the single grit cutting, analyzed the cutting force and defined the force model of progress of the single grit cutting. The paper also established the grit models the same size and shape characteristics as the actual grains based on the APDL language of ANSYS embedded parametric modeling, and simulated the progress of a single grain of abrasive cutting steel, and last analyzed the influence of cutting parameters on cutting process .By established the particle trajectory model when diamond beads tangential feeding , the paper obtained the position of the abrasive on the absolute coordinates in the cutting process.The paper derived the rotation angle of the beaded wire when only tension considered, and determined the trajectory of particles on one beaded when the beaded wire cycling by simulation.The paper analyzed the failure forms of diamond beaded wire cutting steel in-depth ,and determined the important factors affecting the service life of beaded wire. And the paper also defined two approximate theoretical calculation methods of lifespan forecast of the beaded wire by fatigue limit of the grid and by matrix abrasion wear, and then made comparison. And the paper put forward kinds of ways to improve the life of beaded finally.
