With the world energy demand growth, there is an urgent demand for petroleum resources. The development of deep-sea oil and gas resources has become the focus of global energy strategy. Conveying pipeline is widely used in the deepwater oil and gas resources exploitation. Reel lay pipe laying method as a new kind of submarine pipeline laying method has many advantages and distinction between the traditional pipe laying mode, but its related technology and device have been monopolized by a few foreign companies.This thesis comes from the Chinese Offshore Oil Engineering Corp deep-water oil and gas development demonstration project "the northern slope of the South China Sea (Liwan 3-1 and its surrounding) deepwater oil and gas fields in engineering, design, construction,installation" Sub Project --"Research on key components of reel mounting system". The main purpose of this paper is through in-depth analysis and research on related technology abroad,in the understanding of basic reel lay process of laying pipeline in the process of force and deformation of deep water, designing of rigid pipe with independent intellectual property rights of the laying device.The paper introduces the development and present situation of reel lay home and abroad,and analyzes the differences between the different types of reel lay method,compared with the traditional "S", and "J" type of pipe laying method by comparing the technical characteristics of reel lay method and range of application, and puts forward the research object in this paper.The paper designs the reel lay process, analyzes the pipeline with elastic and elastic-plastic mechanics research in laying process,using the pre-bending straightening theory to determine the pre-bending straightening machine laying parameters and test reel design parameters.Then, the paper designs the reel lay system pre-bending straightening device and reel detailedly. Including the pre-bending straightening machine chain links, supporting wheels sprocket, the drive wheel assembly, wheel assembly, crawler frame and reel support unit and drive unit. Based on the analysis and the stress of the key components of straight and reel condition to the design of key parts of finite element analysis was carried out by using the finite element analysis software.Finally, the paper designs the reel lay system verification test, the test equipment of type design, and simulated the analysis from the pipeline, obtaining the pipeline curvature deformation and the relationship between data and stress, which verifies the feasibility of rationality and accuracy of test scheme theory, structure design.Through the research of this paper, we mastered the stress state in the pipeline laying process, calculated the key parameters of the pre-bending and straightening process, and designed the key parts of the reel lay system, pre-bending and straightening device and reel completely, built the reel lay system platform with the device, and test the key parameters by simulation,analyzed the reason of the difference between the simulation results and theory.
