Acrylic resin is widely used as a kind of polymer material and it has a lot of good performances such as good light resistance,film-forming property,aging resistance and good mechanical properties.However,there are some drawbacks in specific occasions such as poor solvent resistance,water resistance,anti pollution.Thus,its further application is restricted.In recent years,with the development of polymerization technology and the awareness of environment protection,the modification of acrylate has been widely concerned by researchers.In this work,the acrylate has been modified by different methods in order to improve the performance of acrylic resin.Furthermore,a kind of the resultant emulsion is used to prepare the coatings and the properties of the prepared coatings are also studied.The contents and the related results in this study are as follows:(1)The acrylic latex was prepared successfully via semicontinuous seeded emulsion polymerization of methyl methacrylate(MMA),butyl acrylate(BA)as main monomers and hexafluorobutyl methacrylate(HFMA),vinyltriethoxysilane(VTES)as functional monomers initiated with potassium persulfate(KPS)and emulsified with the aid of mixed surfactants of anionic surfactant sodium abietate and nonionic surfactant alkyl polyglycoside(APG).The preparing recipe and technological conditions were optimized and the resultant latex was characterized.(2)The acrylic latex was prepared via semicontinuous seeded emulsion polymerization of MMA,BA as main monomers,VTES and HFMA as functional monomers in water phase initiated with KPS and emulsified with the aid of mixed surfactants of anionic surfactant sodium lauroylglutamate and APG.The preparing recipe and technological conditions were optimized and the resultant latex was characterized.(3)The title fluorine-silicone modified acrylate-dibutyl fumarate emulsions were prepared by means of semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerization when VTES and HFMA were used as the modified monomers.The anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS)and APG used to be the emulsifiers.The preparing recipe and technological conditions were optimized and the resultant latex was characterized.(4)The solids content of 50% acrylic emulsion was prepared via semi-continuous seeded emulsion polymerization of main monomer MMA,BA and functional monomer Butanedioicacid-2-methylene-4-butylester(MBI)in water phase when tetradecyl dimethyl hydroxy propyl betaine/alkyl phenol polyoxyethylene ether(OP-10)and 2,2'-Azobis(2-methylpropionamidine)dihydrochloride(V-50)was used to be emulsifiers and initiator,respectively.The preparing recipe and technological conditions were optimized and the resultant latex was characterized.(5)The title self crosslinkable fluorinated acrylate polymer emulsion were prepared by means of semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerization when MMA?BA were used as main monomers and HFMA?N-Methylol acrylamide(N-MA)?hydroxy propyl methacrylate(HPMA)were used as the modified monomers.The sodium lauroylglutamate and tetradecyl dimethyl hydroxy propyl betaine used to be the mixed surfactants and KPS used to be initiator.The preparing recipe and technological conditions were optimized and the resultant latex was characterized.(6)The sodium abietate and APG for the synthesis of acrylate polymer emulsion as the base material for preparing coatings.The formula and process conditions for prepared coatings were optimized and the properties of the coatings were studied.
