During the drilling process,the vibration of machine tool spindle causes the drill tip to deviate from the spindle center at the moment of contacting with the workpiece,leading to the drill edge to axial deflection.This phenomenon can aggravate the drill edge wear,then affect the quality of hole,even cause the horn hole.Therefore,it is necessary to take a research of the phenomenon of axial displacement of the drill edge.In this paper,a method of drilling axial displacement is proposed,the MATLAB is employed for established the axial displacement mechanics model of drill edge.The simulation of the movement of the drill edge in the axial direction is simulated through DEFORM.Simultaneously,combined with the experiment of the drill edge axial offset,the impact of drilling is developed in the different offset angle.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The establishment of axial offset mechanical model of drill.Based on chip formation and temperature changes during cutting,the cutting mechanics model of right and bevel angle is established;Analyze the force of the drill edge when the axial displacement occurs based on the drilling principle of twist drill and derives the drilling mechanics model,analyze the influence rule of different processing parameters on drilling force combined with MATLAB.(2)Finite element simulation analysis of drill axial offset.Established the finite element model of drilling process,and exploited finite element simulation analysis software take simulation at different angles in the axial offset of the drill edge,then contrastive analyzed the simulation results of drill temperature field,stress and strain field of drill,chip temperature field,the shape of the chip when the drill edge is axially offset to varying degrees to provide guidance for the follow-up experiment of the drill edge axial displacement.(3)Experimental verification of drill axial offset.The experimental platform is established for the different axial offset angles of drill.And the dates of experimental test,drill temperature,drilling force and the torque,are compared and analyzed with simulation.Measuring the chip length,the diameter difference of drill's in-and-out and roughness of hole's surface,analyzing the effect of drill edge axial misalignment on chips and holes.The theoretical analysis and the experimental results show that,with the above methods,the mechanical model of axial displacement of drill edge is established in this dissertation;The simulation results veritably predict the physical state of the drill edges and chips accurately when the drill edge is axially offset.The influence rule of different angles on the drilling process is obtained and verified by experiment.The content of this research is mainly to reveal the essence of drilling process,formulate the reasonable cutting technology.This has great importance in the aspects of enhancing surface quality of hole processing,reducing wear or breakage of the drill edge and prolonging the service life of drill edge.
