Noble metal nanostructures have attracted great attention because of their unique properties.They are widely used in the fields of catalysis,surface enhanced Raman scattering,biosystems,electronics and photonics,et al.In this context,we introduced H2PtCl6 as a key shape-directing agent to grow noble metal nanostructures through a modified seed-mediated method.Compared to traditional methods,this method have many advantages,for instance,simple,mild reaction conditions,and have higher yield.We studied their shapes,composition,and properties through scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer,X-ray diffraction,Raman spectrometer,electrochemical workstation.The main works that we do are as follow:1.Facile growth of Au nanobipyramid through modified seed-mediated method at 35?.We employed chloroplatinic acid as the key shape-directing agent for the first time to grow Au nanobipyramids?NBPs?.H2PtCl6 was added both during the seed preparation and in growth solution.Metallic Pt,reduced from chloroplatinic acid,will deposit on the surface of the seed nanoparticles and the Au nanocrystals and thus plays a critical role for the formation of Au NBPs.Additionally,the reductant,precursor,and surfactant are all cheap and commonly used.Furthermore,the Au NBPs offer two sharp tips,and a shared basis with narrow size distribution.Au NBPs therefore show much higher refractive index sensitivities than that of the Au nanorods.The refractive index sensitivities and lager figure of merit values of Au NBPs exhibit an increase of63% and 321%,respectively,compared to the corresponding values of Au nanorod samples.2.We synthesis AuPt alloy nanobipyramid frames by seed-mediated method at 70?.In this experiment,we obtained hollow frame structures whenenough H2PtCl6 was added into growth solution.In addition,we also investigated other growth factors,such as the reaction time,temperature,the existence of Ag+,to find the optimal growth condition.Hollow frames can use in many fields,we evaluated the catalytic properties in the reduction of4-nitrophenol?4-NP?by NaBH4,label-free monitored of the AuPt-catalyzed reduction of 4-nitrothiophenol?4-NTP?to the corresponding aniline derivative?4-ATP?,and evaluated the electrocatalytic performances toward MOR in alkaline.They all show excellent performances.
