The polymer inclusion membrane(PIM) is a new type of liquid membrane, which has the advantages of chemical resistance, high stability and long life. It has achieved good results in removing heavy metal ion from wastewater and has attracted wide attention. The PIM can transport the target solute from mixture to the receiving solution to achieve the purpose of separation and extraction. In this paper, with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the base polymer and di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) as the carrier,PVC/D2EHPA PIM was prepared and applied to the transport of aniline and three cationic dyes (methylene blue, neutral red and malachite green) in aqueous solution. In this paper, PVC/D2EHPA PIM was prepared by using solvent evaporation method. The effects of the concentration of the carrier, the concentration of the receiving solution, the type of plasticizer and the temperature on the transport of the aniline were investigated. The PIM had high selectivity to aniline over phenol, o-nitroaniline, m-nitroaniline and p-nitroaniline. The PIM has shown good stability in repetitive transport cycles and when it was immersed in strong acid solution, salt solution for a long time.In this paper, the effects of the initial concentration of the source solution and the kind of the receiving phase solution on the transport of the aniline and the adsorption behavior of the PIM on the aniline were investigated. Through the above experiments, the transport mechanism of aniline through PIM was explored. The results show that the transport behavior can be explained by the theory of "percolation threshold" and"relay mechanism".The transport experiments and adsorption of methylene blue, neutral red and malachite green in the aqueous solution were carried out. The results showed that the PIM can be successfully used in the transport of these three dyes from their aqueous solutions.
