The synthesis and study of metal complexes with nitronyl nitroxide radical have been one of the most attractive fields in the molecular-based magnetic materials.Focused on this topic,2p-3d,2p-4f and 2p-3d-4f complex based on nitronyl nitroxide radical have been synthesized in this paper.Their structures were determined by X-ray crystallographic methods,and characterized by elemental analyses,IR,UV,TG and DC/AC magnetic measurements.Main contents are as follows:1.Four kinds of nitronyl nitroxides were synthesized:NITPh-m-OCH2-Ph,NITPh-p-N(CH3)2,NITPh-p-Cl,NITPh-(OCH3)3.2.Three mononuclear 2p-3d-4f compounds were synthesized by the reaction of the NITPh-m-OCH2-Ph as ligands with Ln(hfac)3·2H2O and Cu(hfac)2·2H2O:[LaCu(hfac)8(NITPh-m-OCH2-Ph)2](Ln(?)= Gd(2),Tb(3),Dy(4)),Cu3(hfac)6(NITPh-m-OCH2-Ph)2(1).NITPh-m-OCH2-Ph as ligands,the novel 2p-3d-4f compounds were synthesized.Ln(?)ions in complexes are eight-coordinated.Cu(?)ions in complexes are six-coordinated.Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements studies revealed that complexes exhibit ferromagnetic interactions.3.Two complex were synthesized by using NITPh-p-N(CH3)2 as ligands.They are[Ln(hfac)3(NITPh-p-N(CH3)2)2][Ln= Dy(5),Tb(6)].Ln(?)ions in complexes are eight-coordinated and the geometrical configuration of complex is triangle dodecahedron.AC magnetic susceptibility studies of Dy complex indicate the presence of slow magnetic relaxation.Further studies indicate the Dy complex may be SMMs.4.By using NITPh-p-Cl and NITPh-(OCH3)3 as ligands,two Co complexes were synthesized[(Co(hfac)2(NITPh-(OCH3)3)2)(Co(hfac)2(H20)2)](7),[Co(hfac)2(NITPh-p-Cl)(phenol)](8).Co(II)ions in complexes are six-coordinated and coordinated by four oxygen atoms from two hfac ligands and two oxygen atoms from two nitronyl nitroxide radicals.Thermal decomposition process of complexs was studied by thermo gravimetric test.Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements studies revealed that complexes exhibit antiferromagnetic interactions.
