Macroscopic Supramolecular Assembly Based On Self-healing Film As A Flexible Spacing Coating

In supramolecular assembly,the surface roughness of the macroscopic building blocks leads to insufficient supramolecular binding.To handle this issue,our group developed the concept of "flexible spacing coating",thereby performing macroscopic supramolecular assembly of non-hydrogel systems.The key of the flexible spacing coating is based on its flexibility and mobility which is similar to the mechanism of action of the self-healing film.Therefore,we infer that all self-healing films can be used as the flexible spacing coatings.To verify this hypothesis,in this thesis,we fabricated two kinds of self-healing polyelectrolyte multilayers through LbL assembly and realized macroscopic supramolecular assembly based on these two self-healing films as the flexible spacing coatings.The facts proved that self-healing property is the criterion for the multilayer film being used as the flexible spacing coating.Details are as follows:(1)Supramolecular assembly of macroscopic building blocks based on PEI/HA self-healing film as the flexible spacing coating was realized,and the force values between the building blocks were measured in situ.(2)Supramolecular assembly of macroscopic building blocks based on PAA&HA/PDMAEMA self-healing film as the flexible spacing coating was realized,and the forces between the building blocks were measured in situ.According to the results above and the previous work of the first flexible spacing coating proposed by our group,we drew the conclusion that self-healing film which has good mobility can be used as the flexible spacing coating to realize macroscopic supramolecular assembly.Herein,we provided a direction for the choice of the flexible spacing coating,which may make a step forward on the way to perform supramolecular assembly of macroscopic building blocks versatilely.
