Mine fires have been one of the biggest hazards in coal mines, often resulting in huge property losses and casualties, causing great calamity to people's lives. With the development of virtual reality and particle system technology, new progress has been made in simulating realistic degree and accuracy of calculation, which provides a great opportunity for mine fire research. On this basis, based on the 863 project of the task group, this paper studies the key technology of mine fire spread by means of Unreal Engine 4 and Visual Studio platform.The main contents include the following aspects:Focused on Unreal Engine 4 and particle system, The source code of Unreal Engine4 is compiled by Visual Studio, and the operation flow of Unreal Engine4 particle system and the module function of the whole platform are studied.The parameters of the particle system are simulated by adding emitter, module, modifying the parameter value and data type,and the parameters needed for fire simulation are sorted out.Through the Unreal Engine4 blueprint module and Matinee transitions, the internal data exchange of the particle system is carried out, and the color parameters of the flame are simulated. Use Visual Studio as the development platform to develop the interface functions of the particle system by creating new C ++ classes. Based on the cross-platform file read interface provided by Unreal Engine4, write functions to read data from external text and transfer data to the interface of the particle system to enable Unreal Engine4 to communicate with external data. Through the six parameters of the data to simulate the simulation of the effect of a larger flame for the next step in data-driven fire spread laid the foundation.The physical characteristics and the movement state of the mine fire were analyzed, and the flame and smoke were modeled. At the same time, different models of flame and smoke were created according to the specific roadway, and different models were placed at different intervals in the mine roadway .After analyzing the influence factors of mine fire, the mathematical model of flame and smoke is simplified,and the influence factors are simplified to the influence of thermal buoyancy, friction, gravity and wind force.The influence of the wind force on the motion of the particle system is studied. The spread of the flame and the smoke in the single roadway and the roadway with the bifurcation is simulated. At the same time, the fire spread at different wind speeds is simulatedThis paper focuses on the realization of the Unreal Engine 4 particle system interface and the communication method to realize the simulation of the spread effect of the mine fire driven by the external data, which lays the foundation for the further research.
