In modern society,with the development of oil and gas in the field of marine,the technology of trenching and burying of the submarine pipeline and cable has become one of the widely used important technology in the world. In order to achieve the purpose of protection of subsea pipeline and cable,this technology uses underwater trenching machinery to dig out a trench which can meet the requirements of the depth of the pipeline and cable, and then, the pipeline was buried in the trench.Subsea trenching equipment has formed a series of products abroad today, the theory of the submarine trenching apparatus, structure and associated detecting and controlling technology has become mature, at the same time, China also has a systematic research on the technology of hardware of the trenchers. However, due to the factors of the complicated operating environment of the equipment, the poor visibility of subsea, the difficulty of the process of monitoring and intervening operations,the tugs,and the after-trenching method,the structural characteristics and the theory of the trenchers has a close relationship with its operating process. The processes and related adjustment strategy of trenching plough decided the operational efficiency, trenching functions, and also the success or failure of the apparatus.Therefore, the study of underwater trenching technology has important application value, and because of the complex structure and large volume of trenching apparatus, the operating process involves multi-body mechanical problems, the study will has some theoretical significance.Based on the hardware systems research of submarine plough from preliminary research group, this thesis makes a deep research on the operation technology of the trencher. The paper has summarized current development of trenching apparatus at home and abroad,analyzed the composition and the principle of trenchers, and then presents the key technical problems of operation,the question that relates to the posture of the plough include the angle of inclination, height adjustment of skid and the buoyancy adjustment functions of floating tank underwater, to test the depth quality of the groove, the soil backfilling technology has given a specific solution. Through the theoretical study of these critical operations technical issues,the article gives the limit angle of the overall device,the altitude difference of the skid,buoyancy tanks adjustment capacity and the burial depth indicators and parameters, etc. The overall conclusion of the study has important guiding value on the overall design and function realization of the submarine plough.The submarine plough is important equipment for the trenching and laying of submarine pipeline. Trenchers with high-efficiency, high-performance relate to the development of offshore oil and gas, as well as national energy strategy. China is actively developing ocean resources, and offshore oil and gas development is inseparable from the transporting of submarine pipeline, researching and developing high quality submarine trenching mechanics and regulating their operation technology is becoming extremely urgent.
