Traditional medical dressing could result in the secondary damage to human body when it is changed to fresh dressing,and cannot release drugs continuously and slowly, additionally,it may lead to drug tolerance. For providing wound a moist environment and healing the wound surface with drugs, drug loaded medical dressing have been investigated recently. In this study, two kinds of medical dressing with Poly (glycerol-sebacate) (PGS) as matrix material were investigated, one of which was added by silver,the other of which was added by traditional chinese medicines with ethyl alcohol as solvent.Silver loaded PGS medical dressing was prepared and studied. PGS was synthesized by the melting polymerization method with different ratio of glycerol and sebacate as raw material, and silver was added to the pre-polymer during curing stage. The microstructure, the mechanical properties, the water-absorbing quality, the degradation property, the released performance of silver and the bacteriostatic properties were analyzed by the result of FTIR,tensile test, degradation test in vitro, silver release, and bacteriostatic test, and the mechanism of the performances were discussed. At the ratio of glycerol and sebacate of 1:1, the swelling degree of themedical dressing was 1210%, the water absorption was 4.3%, the elasticity modulus is 0.27; on the 3rd day of degradation, the swelling degree was 1380%, the elasticity modulus decreases to 0.08MPa; On 20th day of the degradation,the mass loss ratio was 13.09% and the release of silver was 19.98%, and the staphy locccus aureus could be inhibited by the silver loaded medical dressing.The traditional chinese medicines with ethyl alcohol as solvent loaded medical dressingwas prepared and studied. PGS was synthe sized by the melting poly merization method with different ratio of glycerol and sebacate as raw material, and the traditional chinese medicines loaded medical dressing was prepared by infiltrating the medicines into the PGS matrix through imbibition. The micro structure and the performance of the traditional chinese medicines loadedmedical dressing were characterized and analysed, and the mechanism of the micro structure and the mechanical properties were revealed. At the ratio of sebacate and glycerol of 0.8:1, the crosslink density of the medical dressing deceased and the swelling degree was up from 1060% to 1220% with the increasing of the sebacic acid (SA)content, the elasticity modulus reduced from 0.6 MPa to 0.24MPa; On 3rd degradation day,the swelling degree increased from 1060% to 1200% and the elasticity modulus decreased from 0.26MPa to 0.16 MPa; at the ratio of sebacate and glycerol of 1:1, the swelling degree augments increased from 1220% to 1320%, and the elasticity modulus decreased from 0.24 MPa to 0.12 MPa.
