As a clean and efficient energy, LNG has become development emphases of the world.As important storage devices, LNG storage tanks are springing up all over the world in recent years. Because LNG is flammable and explosive, LNG leakage or explosion and serious harm to the society will happen once the LNG storage tank has a accident. So, the research on ultimate bearing capacity of compression and seismic performance of LNG storage tank has a vital significance.This paper takes a 50000 cubic meters prestressed concrete LNG storage tank in Shanghai as a example, analysed the ultimate bearing capacity of compression and influence factors of LNG tank at normal temperature and low temperature, and the seismic response is also analysed by using the finite element analysis software ABAQUS. The main contents of this paper are as follows:First, the corrected material parameters and analysis elements are selected, and the quarter model of prestressed concrete LNG storage tank is established, then the thesis gives the stress analysis of LNG storage tank, and obtains the stress, strain and displacement distribution of LNG storage tank. The ultimate bearing capacity of compression of LNG stoage tank at normal temperature is given by analysing the calculation results.Second, the paper calculates the temperature distribution of the LNG storage tank at the leak case of the inner tank, applies the temperature field to the calculation model and calculates by the finite element method, obtains the ultimate bearing capacity of compression and the influence factors of LNG stoage tank at low temperature by analysing the calculation results.At last, the paper establishes the whole model of the LNG storage tank, carries on the modal analysis and history analysis under earthquake action. Extracts the first 30 order modal model. The Elcentro wave, Taft wave and artificial wave are chosen as the input seismic wave for time history analysis, the acceleration and displacement response of X direction of dome vertex under eight degree frequent erathquakes are found. The paper analyses the stress and stain of the LNG storage tank at the maximum acceleration response. The results show that,the LNG storage tank has a good seismic performance .This paper gives ultimate bearing capacity of compression at normal temperature and low temperature of a 50000 cubic meters prestressed concrete LNG storage tank in Shanghai,and analyses its seismic performance by finite element method. The study has a certain reference value for the compressive and aseismatic calculation and structure design of LNG storage tank.
