The new broad-spectrum triazole thione fungicides,which are mainly used to control diseases such as cereals,wheat and legumes,have a broad spectrum of bactericidal activity,good biotoxicity and ecotoxicity.Prothioconazole is a promising kind of triazole thione fungicide.With further research,Prothioconazole would have a broader application prospects in Chinese agricultural production.In this paper,the synthetic route of Prothioconazole was reviewed in detail.In view of the advantages and disadvantages of the existing synthetic routes at home and abroad,3,5-dichloro-2-pentanone was used as the starting material.The main feature of this process is the use of hydrazine hydrate and potassium thiocyanate to get the ring of triazole,which decreases the content of impurities,instead of directly using the triazole to get the ring.The structures and purities of the desired products and the intermediates invloled have been characterized or detected by 1H NMR,MS and GC.And the influence factors on the yields and purity of the desired products,such as molar ratio of materials,feeding mode,solvent,temperature and reaction time,have been carefully examined here.Under the optimized processing conditions,the total yield of Prothioconazole was 20.1% with the purity of 98.7%.Compared with the traditional process,the technology is in the possession of a variety of advantages such as higher yield,higher purity,easy-work and friendly environment and so on.
