In this paper,polyethylene(PE)/carbon black(CB)functional composites were prepared by melt blending of five different polyethylene(HDPE,LLDPE,mPE,LDPE-1,LDPE-2)and three conductive carbon black.The effects of carbon black species and matrix branching structure on the conductive percolation threshold,the rheological behavior and the intrinsic relationship between the conductive percolation transition and the rheological transition of the composites,also the crystallization and melting behavior of the composite were studied.So choose the best conductivity,filling the least amount of HDPE/CB blends as functional modifier,and grafted maleic acid(POE-g-MAH)with ethylene-octene copolymer elastomer as compatibilizer,HDPE/CB/PA6 composites were prepared.The effects of compatibilizer POE-g-MAH and the addition of conductive filler carbon black and the composition of HDPE and PA6 on the conductivity and mechanical properties of HDPE/CB/PA6 composites were discussed,the influence of the change of processing conditions on the electrical conductivity of the composites was also discussed,finally.The results showed that the percolation threshold of the conductive carbon black in HDPE/CB-1 composites was the lowest in each PE/CB composites when the same type of conductive carbon black was filled in the five kinds of polyethylene matrix,it about 3wt%.The carbon black of the composites reached the percolation threshold when the amount of CB-3 was about 2.0 wt% in HDPE/CB-3 composites when the same amount of carbon black was filled with three different kinds of conductive carbon blacks.So choose HDPE/CB-3 composite system as a function of modified masterbatch.For the HDPE/CB/PA6 composites,when added 5 wt% compatibilizer and 1.75 wt% CB-3 and HDPE/PA6 composition was 35/65,the volume resistivity of composites about 1.25 x 108? · cm.The mechanical properties showed that when the compatibilizer and the conductive carbon black were added and the HDPE/PA6 composition was 35/65,compared with the non-compatibilizer and no the conductive carbon black composites,the elongation at break of the composites increased from 7.4% to 251%,the fracture impact strength increased from 7.1 kJ/m2 to 53.7 kJ/m2,and the tensile strength did not much change.compared with pure PA6,the elongation at break of the composites increased from 88% to 251%,and the notched impact strength increased from 12.5 kJ/m2 to 53.7 kJ/m2,while the tensile strength decreased to some extent.The results of scanning electron microscopy(SEM)showed that the dispersibility and compatibility of the conductive carbon black particles in the polyethylene matrix were better.The addition of POE-g-MAH enhances the interfacial adhesion between PA6 and HDPE,which greatly improves the compatibility of HDPE and PA6 in the HDPE/CB/PA6 composites.when the melting temperature was 230?,the screw shear rate was 50 r/min and the mixing time was 10 min,the volume resistivity of the composites had the minimum value compared with other conditions,about 1.25 × 108 ? · cm.
