The requirements of resin matrix are very strict to high-performance structural composite materials.Cyanate ester with unique comprehensive performance has become the pursuit of national goal,cyanate resin monomer mostly solid or semi-solid substances at the room temperature,when it used as the prepreg Resin matrix separately,it is very easy to precipitate and the cured product is very brittle,thus affecting the prepreg and its composite material quality.In this paper,In order to obtain a cyanate ester resin system that matches the high modulus carbon fiber,epoxy resin and low molecular weight polyphenylene ether were used to modified cyanate ester resin system.1.The prepreg resin system of BADCy/EP was prepared by using bisphenol A type epoxy resin(DGEBA)and alicyclic epoxy resin(EPC)modified bisphenol A cyanate ester resin(BADCy).The mechanical properties thermal properties,dielectric properties and hygroscopic properties of the resin system were studied,and compared with the BADCy resin matrix.The results show that the addition of epoxy can effectively improve the fracture toughness and mechanical strength of cyanate ester resin,but it will reduce the heat resistance,dielectric and hygroscopic properties of cyanate ester.2.On the basis of EP modification,The prepreg resin system of BADCy/EP/PPO was prepared by polyphenylene ether resin(PPO)with low molecular weight.The mechanical properties,thermal properties,dielectric properties and hygroscopic properties of the resin system were tested and compared with the BADCy/EP resin system.The results show that the addition of PPO can effectively improve the dielectric properties and wet resistance of the resin system.The proper amount of PPO can effectively improve the mechanical strength and glass transition temperature of the resin system.3.The above four kinds of resin systems with high modulus carbon fiber was preparation.The transverse fiber bundle tensile test,mechanical properties and SEM fracture morphology of high modulus carbon fiber composites were characterized,and the results showed that compared with BADCy/EP resin system,BADCy/EP/PPO resin system has a high initial viscosity and a long range of sticky temperature range,and a better interfacial bonding properties.
