| Fluorescence is a kind of radiation, which is produced from the de-excitation of excited atoms or molecules after absorbing electromagnetic radiation.Up to now, solvent slow volatilization method is the main method to synthesize organic low-molecule-weight cocrystal fluorescent materials.Due to the solvent volatilization, the two issues, including environmental pollution and long growth period, limit the practical application. These questions must be solved before organic low-molecule-weight fluorescent materials can be widely employed in multicolor display,large-scale flat panel display and soft optical device. The above questions will be well solved by Low Vacuum Physical Vapor Deposition Method(LVPVDM).Environment protecting and short growth period are the two of the advantages of LVPVDM.However, there are few reports about preparing fluorescent materials by LVPVDM.In this paper,LVPVDM was used to fabricate two-component cocrystal/layered/mixed micro-/nanosized films and tune the fluorescence.Two-component 2,5-Diphenyloxazole-Octafluoronaphthalene(DPO-OFN)co-crystal micron films were designed and fabricated by LVPVDM.The work in this paper achieves not only the fabrication of organic low-molecule-weight cocrystal fluorescent materials but also the preparation of micro-/nanosized organic low-molecule-weight cocrystal fluorescent film materials, which enriches the prearation technology and provides a new strategy to fabricate organic low-molecule-weight cocrystal fluorescent materials. In order to enhance the fluorescent adjustability of two-component DPO-OFN films,two-component DPO-OFN layered micron/nano films were fabricated.Two-component CS/RB layered/mixed nano films were designed and fabricated by LVPVDM to achieve the tunable fluorescence of films, including the shift(blue or red shift),width, quantity and relative intensity of fluorescence emission peak. The fluorescence emission wavelength of two-component CS2/RB layered nano films ranges from 432 nm to 573 nm.The emission range is widened to 141 nm.The novel and tunable fluorescence of layered/mixed micron/nano films is attributed to the non-crystal aggregation.A new strategy, fabricating non-crystal films, was provided to tune the fluorescence of organic low-molecule-weight materials instead of the strategy:tuning the crystal structure. The work enriches the prearation technology and provides not only a new method to fabricate organic low-molecule-weight fluorescent materials but also a new strategy(fabricating micro-/nanosized layered/mixed films by LVPVDM)to tune the fluorescence.LVPVDM is used to prepare non-crystal films, which will lay a solid foundation for the potential application of fluorescent materials in multicolor display and even full color display. |
