In this paper,polyfunctional chlorinated polyethyene(HCPE)/ high-density polyethylene chloride graft maleic anhydride(HCPE-cg-MAH),chloride polyethylene vinyl acetate(CEVA)/ polyethylene vinyl acetate chloride graft MAH(CEVA-cg-MAH),high fill and high performance wood plastic composite materials were prepared via in situ chlorinated graft copolymerization(ISCGC),and the toughening effect of polymer blends was also discussed.The main contents are as follows: To probe the factors that influence the Grafting Degree(GD)of HCPE-cg-MAH/CEVA-cg-MAH;the two-phase interfacial compatibility between polymer matrix and plant fiber in wood plastic composite.The effects of different wood plastic ratio and grafting ratio on the properties of composites were discussed.In this study,the chlorine atom or strong polar group,such as anhydride group were introduced on the main chain of the polyolefin via the ISCGC.Preparation of grafting appeared strong polarity.The graft copolymer was compatible with the interface of the plant fiber by esterification and hydrogen bonding,so as to achieve the purpose of compatibility with polar wood flour.This method should fundamentally solve the problem of compatibility between wood and plastics.The thermoplastic matrix used in this experiment is the HCPE-cg-MAH and CEVA-cg-MAH,Which were prepared by our research group.Main chain structure of HCPE-cg-MAH is similar to CPE,It contains chloro substituent and anhydride groups which are so filling to fill a large amount of wood filler;It is easily to have esterification polar plant fiber to produre a strong interface bonding force as containing of anhydride groups.It was the first time to use ISCGC to prepare CEVA-cg-MAH,Which can be prepared good processability,high filling wood flour /CEVA-cg-MAH composites.The reason was that a large number of chlorine atoms and the polar anhydride group grafted on molecular backbone which has a good compatibility with wood flour.
