Two different kinds of high-oil-absorption resin composites were synthesized with butyl methacrylate(BMA),butyl acrylate(BA)and styrene(St)as the monomers,and modified with hydrophobic different morphology aluminum oxide,were synthesized by suspension polymerization,respectively.The samples were characterized by Fourier transmission infrared(FTIR),x-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),canning electron microscope(SEM),and thermogravimetric-differential thermal analysis(TG-DTA),etc.The adsorption properties and reusability of as-synthesized resins were researched.Biomorphic aluminum oxide was prepared by impregnation-calcination method using filter paper as a template.The as-prepared biomorphic aluminum oxide was modified by vinyl triethoxysilane(A151)and modified sample became hydrophobic.The composite material of biomorphic hydrophobic Al2O3 and butyl methacrylate / butyl acrylate / styrene resin was synthesized by suspension polymerization.According to the results of orthogonal experimental,the optimum technology conditions of composite resin were as follows: pore making agent was 5%(wt.),cross linker was 3%(wt.),initiator was 1%(wt.)and hydrophobic biomorphic aluminum oxide was 4%(wt.),respectively.The adsorption properties of composite resin were studied and the adsorption for toluene,chloroform and carbon tetrachloride were 29.68 g·g-1?32.90 g·g-1?46.35 g·g-1 separately.Kinetic of the adsorption properties for carbon tetrachloride of composite resin was fitted well with pseudo-first order relatively.The reusability and thermal stability of the resin were improved.Biomorphic hollow fibers Al2O3 was prepared by impregnation-calcination method using cotton as a template.The as-prepared biomorphic Al2O3 was modified by A151 and the surface of biomorphic Al2O3 became hydrophobic.The composite material of biomorphic hydrophobic Al2O3 and butyl methacrylate / butyl acrylate / styrene resin was synthesized by suspension polymerization.Moreover,the adsorption properties of composite resin were on trial in this study.The adsorption for toluene,chloroform and carbon tetrachloride were 24.86 g·g-1?37.47 g·g-1?44.58 g·g-1 respectively.After regeneration for 10 cycles,the absorption capacities of composites were still high without significant quality loss.
