The traditional magnetic separation equipment' separate efficiency is not high,it can not separate the iron minerals from gangue minerals.The inclusion of useful minerals affects the grade of concentrate.It developed a new type of vertical permanent magnetic separator to solve problems,and studied the vertical structure,performance,magnetic distribution about the vertical permanent magnetic separator.According to the characteristics about magnetic structure of the vertical permanent magnetic separator detached space,we analyzed by using the complex calculating formula to calculate space between magnet,the shielding thickness and the shielding layer to the magnetic block distance.Finally,we get the transverse distance between magnet is 35 mm,the vertical distance is 47.5mm.The shielding thickness is 6mm,the distance about the magnetic shielding layer to block is 15 mm.According to the optimized results,we make some experiments to select the best conditions.Through a series of experiments,we make the best conditions about the grinding fineness is 80% in-0.044 mm,ores feeding is 200g/s,flushing water is 200ml/s,the concentrate flow is 230g/s,rotational speed of magnetic system is 20r/min.According to the conditions,iron ore concentrates from 60.97% rise to 66.02%,the concentrate yield reached 91.44%,the recovery rate of concentrate was 99%,it achieved the requirements of industrial production.And it was proved what could effectively improve concentrate grade and recovery rate by compared with the electromagnetic magnetic separator.The magnetic system is simulated and analyzed by using ANSYS/Maxwell,and have studied the distribution characteristics about lines,flux density vector and magnetic induction intensity,and studied the magnet whose space is different.The results show that when the transverse pole spacing is 35 mm,vertical distance is 47.5mm,vertical permanent magnetic field is stable,and fit magnetic separation about mineral particles.
