The female shoulder arm is one of the important parts in studying the goodness of human body shape fit to women's apparel form,which directly affects the shape of the women's sleeve.Due to the customized prototype based on national standard can't completely accord with the requirements of human body customized precision,the paper introduced "suitable body prototype" concept by classifying the benchmark model to solve the problem of customization precision based on the analysis of current status of women's clothing in shoulders at home and abroad,meanwhile the modern 3D scanning technology provided data and technical support for the research of the prototype of the fitness of body and sleeve in women's apparel.The topic studied the characteristics of the shoulder arm of young women in Hubei province,and the human body image of 3D was generated automatically by non-contact 3D scanning technique,and 176 items of human body characteristic parameters were obtained at the same time.Because of the complicated shoulder structure and its movement,we extracted relevant infrequently used data which are difficult to measure such as circumstance of shoulder and arms,shoulder thickness,sleeve height and length from oxter to shoulder artificially.Processing and operating the data by SPSS,VC and SharpGL,combining with the shoulder and arm feature data,plotting according to the data and finally obtained seven types of shoulder arm characteristics,and put forward the sleeve prototypes that are suitable for the seven types as well.The research is mainly divided into five parts as follow.1.A total of 200 young women aged from 18 to 24 were selected as the research sample,and the sample data of 11 observation variables which describe the characteristics of shoulder and arm were measured.The normal distribution rule of observation variables was determined by distribution test to observation data,and basic statistical analysis of the data was made..2.Using SPSS software,the correlation analysis and principal component analysis of observation variables of shoulder and arm was carried out,the correlation between the parameters was determined,main factors which reflect general information of the shoulder and arm were extracted,and thus the reliable basis for the shoulder arm shape classification was established.3.Employing the method of plotting according to measured data,the structure of the shoulder and arm was summarized and analyzed.Combining the requirement of sleeve plate type,14 feature parameters related to shoulder and arm are selected to classification.Plotting according to the data of the shoulder circumference,shoulder point to the armpit length and the thickness of the upper arm,the figures of the seven types of shoulder and arm characteristics are obtained finally.4.The sleeve reference plates of the seven types of shoulder and arm are plotted by using the FuYi Garment CAD,and research on the compatibility between the shape and the structure is realized.5.Extensive research in cross-fusion of the clothing structure design,ergonomics,mathematical statistics and computer science is conducted,putting forward a series of sleeve prototypes that are suitable for style development and the drawing process is relatively simple.The automatic generation system of the sleeve prototype structure diagram suitable for the group is established by VC and SharpGL software,and the rapid response system from the body measurement to garment grading is formed.
