In industrial or daily life,water conservation needs appliances,like the faucet which is the most common and most frequently-used water appliance.To avoid wasting water,many public places have been using inductive or mechanical time-lapse self-closing faucets.Inductive faucets own a big market,but it's price and maintenance cost is higher than that of mechanical faucets.Existing mechanical time-lapse self-closing faucets' have a limited scope of application and promotion due to the uncertainty of time delay,the size of the flow influenced by external factors and other defects.In this paper,a new type of mechanical adjustable time-lapse self-closing faucet is proposed.To stable the flow and delay function and make it convenient to use,this paper analyze its function and optimize the design by theoretical analyzing,simulating and experimenting,The main contents are as follows:(1)Proposed a new adjustable time-lapse self-closing faucet.The faucet consists of hand wheel,valve core,time-lapse component,reset mechanism and so on.When used,rotate the hand wheel to drive the valve core to open the faucet.After releasing the hand wheel,the time-lapse component controls the reset mechanism to close the faucet during a predetermined time.According to the flow,time delay and other indexes of the main components,this paper designed its structure,size detailedly.(2)Flow field analysis and optimization design of valve core.To get faucet a better flow field characteristic,the internal flow field of the faucet is simulated by building the three-dimensional model of the flow channel faucet.And by analyzing the pressure cloud,velocity vector and velocity stream diagram under different valve core structure,this paper optimized the spool structure and parameters.(3)Operating performance analysis.The parameters of the coil spring structure of the time-lapse component are related to the hand wheel operating force during the opening,and determine the time-lapse stability in the closing process.Through the analysis of the opening and closing process of the faucet,a mathematical model to optimize the operation performance of the faucet was established.And the genetic algorithm was used to obtain the optimal combination of the parameters of the coil spring.(4)Experimenting.The experimental prototype was developed,the flow and noise were measured and the theoretical design and simulation results are verified.Due to the lack of time,the operation performance test of the faucet can not be completed for the time being,and the verification and research will be carried out in the future.
