With the development of offshore exploration career,offshore drilling platform production increasingly arduous task.Due to bad working environment,platform equipment aging serious,especially for the platform power station.In order to improve the quality of power supply and reduce the platform power station power loss,it is meaningful for platform power station to compensate reactive power.In view of the requirement of reactive power compensation on the platform power station,this thesis has an in-depth and detailed analysis on the domestic and abroad development process of reactive power compensation device firstly,and combined with the actual cost of the platform refitting limit,determined by static var compensation device as a way for power plant technology upgrading on the platform.Finally,this thesis pointed out the use of static var generator and the active power filter is the developmental direction of reactive power compensation on the platform.In the introduction of different methods of reactive power detection,the FFT detection algorithm based on frequency analysis is deeply discussed.Two kinds of forms for static var compensator: thyristor controlled reactor(TCR)and thyristor switched capacitor(TSC)are analyzed in detailed theory,this system determines a way of compensation TCR+TSC.Victory No.9 drilling platform power station of electric drive system is introduced in this thesis,and discussed about the causes and influence of the harmonics,and the harmonic suppression methods of amplification.Combined with the actual platform in high pressure and large discharge drilling condition in harmonic analysis,the thesis pointed out the importance and necessity for reactive power compensation on the platform power station.The reactive power compensation device was verified for the actual application effect in the work field,the practical result shows: the application of reactive compensation device can effectively improve the power factor of platform power station,improve the quality of power supply,reduce energy consumption,can enhance the platform operation ability.
