XB oilfield locates in the southern part of Bohai Bay Basin shallow where the geological structure is relatively flat and therefore reservoir develops.Furthermore,this district has several sets of gas-water systems and the edge water is relatively active.So it forms a high porosity and permeability,normal temperature and pressure and lithology-constructor layered gas cap reservoir which is controlled by lithology and deposited from a primitive meandering river.Its special tectonic features has brought in great difficulties during actual exploration and production.It is necessary to study the production performance in this area,enhance the utilization of the injected water,mitigate the reservoir contradiction at the plane and vertical level and propose the optimization plan for the purpose of stable oil production performance and water cut control.And the main problems contains a fast rise water cut,poor degree of production recovery,severe water flooding phenomena at whole,uneven water injection both at the interlamination level and intraformation level,low water injection utilization and poor adaptive well pattern,etc.Firstly this paper conducts an overall analysis and evaluation for the current development condition of XB34 block.By applying modern reservoir engineering methods and numerical simulation technology,we analyze the present development situation and evaluate the water flooding effect and carry out history matching job to study the remaining oil distribution pattern.And it is found that the strong energy of edge water,high speed of water invasion and incompletion of injection-production well pattern is the real reason which lead to the poor development performance of XB oilfield.Then by using numerical simulation technology,considering the best economic benefit and remaining oil distribution law,three principle factors which are liquid producing capacity,ratio of volume injection to production and well pattern adaptability are choose to optimize the production plan of XB block and a better solution is given.
