In this paper,a series of PA1012/SMA/ABS blends were prepared by the method of melt blending process. The effect of SMA content on the mechanicalproperties of blends was studied by the method of DSC,XRDand etc.The effect of SMA content on compatibilization of PA1012/SMA/ABS blends was investigated by means of DMA,Haake,SEMand etc.The impact properties of the prepared blends showed that the impact strength of PA1012/SMA/ABS was improved after the addition of SMA.However, the tensile strength of PA1012/SMA/ABS decreased with the increasing SMA content. The DSC curves of the blends showed that the crystallization temperature of the PA1012/SMA/ABS moved to high temperature with the increasing SMA content. The results showed that the addition of SMA promoted the crystallization of PA1012.The melting temperature of PA1012/SMA/ABS moved to low temperature region with the increase of SMA content, and the width of the melting peak becomes narrower. The results indicated that the SMA is beneficial to the crystallization of PA1012.It found that ? and ? crystal forms both existed in PA1012 through the XRD test. The growth of ? crystal of PA1012 was promoted, and the growth of ? crystal was weakened when the SMA was added into the blends.Compared with pure PA1012,the storage modulus of the blends decreased after the addition of ABS and SMA.In addition, there were two relaxations in the blends. The equilibrium torque of PA1012/SMA/ABS was higher than that of PA1012,ABS and PA1012/ABS,respectively.The size of the dispersed phase in the SEM images of the blends was greatly reduced, when SMA was added into the blend. And the dispersed phase ABS was uniformly distributed in the PA1012 matrix, and the particle size tended to be homogeneous.
