Unsaturated polyester resin as one of three main thermosetting resins,is one of the most commonly used in such thermosetting resin,in every field of composite material shows its superior performance,and constantly to replace some metal and alloy material.Tradition of unsaturated polyester resin production process with batch production is given priority to,the reaction time is long,large energy consumption,low efficiency,limiting the production,so a lot of production process improvement are trying to use shorten the reaction time,catalyst effect is obvious.This paper adopts the porous carbon rod load/polyaniline composite catalyst(sodium p-toluene sulfonic acid and allyl tributyltin)catalytic synthesis of unsaturated polyester resin,shortened the reaction time,to avoid the in the form of solution to join catalyst affect product results,curing characteristics.Studied the composite catalyst for the synthesis of unsaturated polyester resin,using porous carbon rod assembly polyaniline composite catalyst to load,and through the SEM,EDS and FTIR test method for complex catalyst and carrier,structure and composition of the unsaturated polyester resin were characterized.Studied the optimum synthesis conditions and performance of the unsaturated polyester resin,are discussed.The results of the study are as follows:(1)Preparation of catalyst carrier,and the best condition of catalyst loading way: porous carbon calcination activation time for 30 min,per unit volume of porous carbon and aniline ratio of 1:3,catalyst load in porous carbon/polyaniline,catalyst load times for three times.(2)SEM through the field of porous carbon/polyaniline/catalyst characterization analysis shows that after the activation of porous carbon rod compared with pure carbon rod can provide larger specific surface area,polyaniline has good adsorption performance,and granular composite catalyst piled up together.In addition,by means of EDS element analysis was carried out on the catalyst,to determine the composition of the composite catalyst for C15H32Sn(allyl tributyltin)and C7H7NaO3S(methyl benzene sulfonic acid sodium).(3)Of composite catalyst for catalytic activity and reaction conditions of the study show that the best synthetic conditions of preparation of unsaturated polyester resin,with a porous carbon rod load/polyaniline composite catalyst,composite catalyst(sodium p-toluene sulfonic acid,allyl tributyltin)of the matching part,0.2 wt %,concentration of catalyst to reaction material catalyst can be used repeatedly,the reaction temperature is 200 ?.Shorten the reaction time by 10 h to 5.5 h,embodies the composite catalyst of high efficiency.(4)By FTIR test show that the experiment of unsaturated polyester resin was synthesized.By comparing the presence of catalyst used under the conditions of preparation of unsaturated polyester resin and its related properties of the casting body,the results show that using catalyst under the condition of unsaturated polyester resin at room temperature slightly short gel time,high exothermic peak,and the mechanical properties of the unsaturated polyester resin casting body have promote role.Other such as acid value,solid content,viscosity,such as no too big difference,brinell hardness slightly reduced.In general,the use of catalyst under the condition of synthesis of unsaturated polyester resin has good comprehensive performance,cost-effective.(5)Porous carbon composite catalyst/polyaniline/load type catalyst preparation technology is simple,easy and product separation,and can be repeated use,high efficiency and energy saving,green environmental protection,is a kind of new catalysts with high industrial application prospect.
