The curing of unsaturated polyester resin could be achieved through the free radical polymerization.However,due to the effect of the oxygen in the air,the curing of unsaturated polyester becomes incomplete and sticky on the surface,which could affect the performance of the products and limit application scope.This study used 2-[(2-Methyl-2-propenyl)oxy]-ethanol to prepare the air drying unsaturated polyester resin.The orthogonal experiment was carried out by change of 2-[(2-Methyl-2-propenyl)oxy]-ethanol quality content,capping reaction temperature,the molar ratio of dicarboxylic acid and diol,the molar ratio of phthalic anhydride and maleic anhydride to determine the optimal condition for drying time of resin which was found to be:11.6%2-[(2-Methyl-2-propenyl)oxy]-ethanol,dicarboxylic acid/diol is 1.06,the reaction temperature is 180 ??and PA/MA ratio is 1:4.The result showed that the Surface drying time optimal solution is 17 min,and full drying time optimal solution is 35 min.Then,we investigated the influence of each of these factors on the resin air drying time.Epoxy acrylate(EA)was synthesized by the reaction of epoxy resin(E-51)and acrylate.the synthesis process were determined as follow:reaction temperature is 90 ??100 ?,four ethyl ammonium bromide as catalyst,and the reaction time is 3 h.Firstly,we make the toluene diisocyanate reacted with 2-[(2-Methyl-2-propenyl)oxy]-ethanol to synthesize the pre-polymer,then make the pre-polymer reacts with Epoxy acrylate to get the modified resin.The orthogonal experiment was carried out by change of the ratio of pre-polymer and EA,reaction temperature,the content of Darocurel173,the content of Easepi6992 to determine the optimal condition for drying time of resin which was found to be:the ratio of pre-polymer and EA is 35%,reaction temperature is 75 ?,3%Darocure1173,and 4%Easepi6992.The result showed that the Light curing time optimal solution was 11 s.With silane coupling agent(KH-570),methallyl chloride(MAC)to modify the nanodiamond,then the modification of nanodiamond in the epoxy acrylate resin matrix polymer/nanocomposite was prepared and its mechanical properties were tested.The result show that when the added amount of KH-570-nanodiamond is 0.15%,the tensile strength of composites was increased from 21.85 Mpa to 39.8 Mpa increased by 82.1%;when the added amount of KH-570-nanodiamond is 0.11%,the tensile strength of composites was increased from 21.85 Mpa to 32.4 Mpa increased by 48.6%.
