With the rapid development of chemical and petroleum industry,it increases the demand for large diameter steel pipe,The compliance of large diameter steel pipe's end geometric parameters such as diameter,and ovality with production design specifications directly affects the final quality of the merits o f the steel pipe.Most of the domestic steel pipe manufacturer mainly adopts the manual measurement method,this measuring method has low precision,low efficiency,high labor intensity,slow information feedback and can't fully reflect the situation of the pipe end,so how to measure the diameter and ovality of the steel pipes in real time has become the most important issue for the manufacturers.At present,the online detection system of large diameter steel pipe has been studied abroad,but the price is very expensive.Therefore,this paper presents a large diameter steel pipe diameter and the ovality measurement system,which is based on the principle of laser ranging traversal,circle traversal principle and least square fitting principle.The steel pipe is fixed on the V type bracke and the laser displacement sensor is driven by the servo motor to rotate at a constant speed,which is carried out to the measured steel pipe.The polar axis data is obtained from the laser displacement sensor and angular data is obtained according to the output pulse of the encoder.The signal output of the laser displacement sensor to the computer through the serial port,through the data processing software can get PC pipe end diameter and ovality,and the measurement results will be displayed in real time and upload.The polar axis data of laser displacement sensor and the polar axis data of encoder are transmitted to the computer through the serial port.Through the data processing software large steel pipe end diameter and ovality can be get and the measurement results are finally displayed and uploaded in real time.Firstly,pipe diameter and ovality measurement principle are researched:We analyze the existing detection methods at home and abroad,to determine the laser displacement sensor for the detection of components,introduce in detail the principle of laser triangulation and the principle of circle traverse diameter and ovality measurement.Secondly,the core of this paper is data acquisition module,motion control module and data upload module.The data acquisition module realizes the data acquisition of the steel pipe end face through the angle acquisition circuit.In the motion control module,the search for zero position motion control method not only solves the problem that the rotation of the servo motor and the rotating mechanism is not synchronous,but also ensures the accuracy of the data collected by the laser displacement sensor.The jet module is mainly used to mark the maximum and minimum diameter position and the perimeter of the mark.Data upload module is mainly composed of measurement data upload to SQL server Microsoft 2008 database and FTP picture uploadFinally,the experimental results show that the measurement accuracy of this system can meet the technical requirements of steel pipe diameter and ellipse measurement.In this paper,the design of large diameter steel pipe diameter,ovality measurement system,which has measurement efficiency and high accuracy,and achieves the " online,high-speed,multi-part" real-time accurate measurement and data automatic storage and output.
