Phenolic resin has a very wide range of applications due to its good flame retardancy,insulation,adhesiveness and chemical stability.But the unmodified phenolic resin limited its application in certain areas because of its brittleness.For example,the oil filter paper widely used in the automotive industry from the first batch of products so far,has been using phenolic resin as a reinforced filter impregnated resin,the quality of oil filter paper greatly reduced due to toughness problems caused by the brittle phenolic resin.Therefore,in recent years in order to improve the overall performance of phenolic resin,especially its toughness and thermal stability,to further expand its scope of application,the modified for phenolic resin is necessary.Silicone is one of the most common substances currently used for the modification of phenolic resin,the bond energy of organosiloxanes contained in silicon substances can be larger than the carbon-carbon bond key,has a high degree of freedom,silicone chains introduced in the phenolic resin not only does not reduce the heat stability,but also can improve the toughness of the polymer as the bond length of the bond is long.At the same time,polyether and flexible long chain in the resin act as the role of toughening too,this paper uses a comprehensive modification method to modify water-soluble phenolic resin by preparing polyether modified silicone oil,prepare a Polyether,silicone and aliphatic flexible carbon chain synergistic toughening modified performance of water-soluble phenolic resin.First step,determined the different polyether grafted silicone oil the best reaction conditions by orthogonal test.The results showed that the optimum reaction conditions for PEO500 were as follows: the amount of catalyst was 30ug/g,the reaction temperature was 135?,the optimum reaction time was 8hr,n(C=C):n(Si-H)=1.2:1;the optimum reaction conditions for PPO650 were as follows: the amount of catalyst was 25ug/g and the reaction temperature was 105?,the best reaction time is 4hr,n(C=C):n(Si-H)=1.2:1;the optimum reaction conditions for PEOPO984 were as follows: the amount of catalyst was 30ug/g,the reaction temperature was 120?,the best reaction time was 6hr,n(C=C):n(Si-H)=1.3:1.In the second step,the modified polyether with different number of carbon atoms was prepared by using octadecanoic acid,octanoic acid and acetic anhydride as the blocking agent.The reaction formula and the process were optimized by orthogonal experiment.The modified polyether grafted onto the siloxane backbone.The results showed that the optimum reaction conditions were as follows: reaction temperature 130?,catalyst dosage 1%,reaction time 3.5 hr.The optimum reaction conditions were as follows: reaction temperature 130?,catalyst dosage 2%,reaction time 4hr.The optimum reaction conditions were as follows: reaction temperature 140?,catalyst dosage 2%,reaction time 6hr.(C= C): n(Si-H)=1.2:1,the mass fraction of the catalyst chloroplatinic acid was determined by the addition of hydrosilylation reaction to the allyl polyoxyethylene ether fatty acid ester modified silicone oil.30 g /g(based on the total amount of platinum in the total mass of the reactants),and isopropanol at 30% of the total mass of the reaction,a higher conversion of the hydrogen and hydrogen was obtained.Finally,the method of physical blending and chemical copolymerization was used to prepare silicone modified phenolic resin.And the free aldehydes,free phenols and storage stability were tested to study its application prospect in phenolic reinforced filter paper.The results showed that the free aldehydes of the modified phenolic oil were less than 2%,and the free phenol concentration was about 0.5%,and the chemical copolymerization was more favorable to the modified phenolic compounds prepared by the above steps.Reduce the free phenol,in the application of phenolic reinforced filter paper has great prospects.Polypropylene ether grafted silicone oil is crystallized by polarized light microscopy and DSC.The regular packing of the molecular chain can give the resin a stronger cohesion,which is expected to improve its mechanical properties.The modified phenolic resin was used in oil filter paper.It was found that physical blending and chemical copolymerization system could improve the mechanical properties of filter paper and the toughness of phenolic resin.At the same time,silicone toughening agent with better resistance to oil performance does not affect the use of filter paper in the oil.Compared with the chemical blending and physical blending,the fracture resistance and elongation of the physical blends were better than those of the chemical copolymerization system.The possible reason is that the chemical copolymerization process,the main chain due to hydrolysis and molecular weight reduction;the other hand,the physical blending system structure may exist a "semi-interpenetrating network structure","forced" modified silicone oil "forced mutual" In the phenolic resin,which has a more excellent toughening and enhance the effect.
