The back rest mechanism of rapier loom is an important part of the let-off mechanism,the quality of its performance plays a vital role for relief of warp tension,dynamic performance of loom and quality of products.With the increasing textile market,the efficiency of weaving and the quality of the fabric are becoming more and more important.The back rest system with good dynamic performance can ease the fluctuation of warp tension even in high speed weaving condition.Therefore it is necessary to study the dynamic response characteristics of loom back rest and optimize parameter of the back rest system and structure.This paper take the back beam mechanism of 5.4m width rapier loom produced by Zhejiang WanLi Textile Machinery Co.Ltd.as the main research object,research the following contents:(1)The establishment of warp tension model: On the basis of the path of the warp,law of opening motion,mechanism parameters of back rest during the loom working process and the static balance principle of back rest,obtain the analysis model of warp tension,establish the function relationship between the warp tension and the structural parameters and the motion parameters.(2)The establishment of inertial dynamics equation of back rest: Based on the working principle that the warp tension changes caused by opening movement drive back rest swinging,establish a back rest kinetic equation,analyse quantificationally the lag angle of back rest position relative to the opening motion.(3)Analysis of transient warp tension: According to the regularities of opening movement and back rest swing,calculate quantificationally the dynamic fluctuation of warp tension in weaving process.Evaluate the performance of back rest of loom with the change rate of warp tension and the influence degree of related structural parameters on the dynamic changes of the warp tension is analyzed.(4)Analysis software design: the analysis software of dynamic warp tension of loom is designed by using Matlab Gui software tool.It has the function of analysing the change law of dynamic warp tension fleetly and displaying analysis result fleetly and intuitively.(5)Experimental verification and application case:The change law of static warp tension with the opening is measured by using WL600-540 rapier loom of Zhejiang Wanli TextileMachinery Co.Ltd,the experimental results are in good agreement with the analysis results.The change law of warp tension of Opti-max rapier loom is analyzed by using this software.(6)The innovative design of the low inertia back rest:according to the deficiency of the traditional back rest system,a new type of low inertia back rest is designed.Its design idea,working principle,function characteristics are elaborateed and compared with the traditional back rest system and Its advantages are analyzed from different angles.
