Glass fiber cloth is widely used because of it's excellent corrosion resistance,heat resistance,high strength,high tensile strength and the lower cost than the carbon fibers.Because the glass fiber is not a conductor,it will has the good combination property after metallization.The metallization of the glass fiber cloth has been presented.The glass fiber cloth has been metallized by the UV curing,traditional high-temperature curing and electroless plating method,respectively.The optimal formula and processing has been received after process optimization.The prepared metallized glass fiber cloth has been characterized by the optical microscope,scanning electron microscope,energy disperse spectroscopy,digital multimeter,and thermogravimetric differential scanning calorimetry analysis tester,respectively.Research content is as follows:1?By the study of the coating of UV curing Ag coated Cu paste on the glass fiber cloth,the optimal processing has been received,which is following:the Ag coated Cu powder content was 65wt%.In organic vehicle,the epoxy acrylic resin was 55wt%,w?TMPTA?:w?NVP?=1:3,the light initiator was 2wt%,the diphenylketone 184 was 2wt%,the defoaming agent was 2.5wt%,the silane coupling agent was 3wt%,the flow ping agent was 0.5wt%.The UV curing time was 30min and the curing temperature was 70?.The received metallized glass fiber cloth was smooth and complete without missing piece and resistance value was 0.05?.It presented good oxidation resistance property after aging for100d in air.2?By the study of the traditional curing of coating on the glass fiber cloth using the high-temperature resin Ag coated Cu paste,the optimal process has been received,which is following:the silver coated copper powder was 70wt%.And in organic vehicle,the weight ratio of high temperature resin to Polyurethane resin was 1:3,TMPTA was 8wt%,NVP was 26wt%,silane coupling agent was 3wt%,the antifoaming agent was 2.5wt%,flow ping agent was 0.5wt%.The curing temperature is 80?and the time was 20min.It presented the good binding force,good electrical conductivity,that the resistance value was 0.4?.It has been used below 200?and shows the good oxidation resistance after aging for 100d.3?By the study of the eletcroless plating copper on the glass fiber cloth,the optimal processing has been received,which is following:the CuSO4ˇ5H2O for the major salt,TARTˇKˇNa and EDTAˇNa2 for the complexing agent,HCOH for reducing agent were0.04mol/L,0.07mol/L,0.027mol/L,and 0.14mol/L,respectively.The pH value was 12.75,the time of the eletcroless plating copper at 50?was 45min and the the dring time at 70?was 30min.The received copper coated glass fiber cloth presented uniform,compact,and excellent adhesion.The coating thickness was 0.2?m,and resistance was 8.2?.It has good oxidation resistance.4?By the study of the eletcroless plating nickle on the glass fiber cloth,the optimal processing has been received,which is following:the NiSO4ˇ6H2O for the major salt,Na3C6H5O7ˇ2H2O for complexing agent,NaH2PO2ˇH2O for reducing agent,and the NH4Cl for additive agent were 0.22mol/L,0.068mol/L,0.19mol/L,and 0.23mol/L,respectively.The pH value was 9.5,the time of the eletcroless plating copper at 45?was 45min and the the dring time at 40?was 30min.The received nickle coated glass fiber cloth presented uniform,compact,and excellent adhesion.The coating thickness was 0.3?m,and resistance was 0.8?.It has good good oxidation resistance.
