In recent years,with the energy supply situation gets more and more nervous,coupled with severe restriction policies on high energy consumption enterprises,energy conservation has become the need of electrolytic aluminum enterprises to survive.Electrolytic aluminum enterprises have achieved remarkable results in energy efficiency through various optimization techniques and the implementation of energy-saving technological transformation.The thesis was focused on research to reduce the working voltage of the actual production by application of different methods,such as slotted anode,shaped cathode and adding insulation materials in electrolysis tank inside,etc.The aim is to reduce the cell voltage,power consumption and production costs,and to get more profit margins,as well as improve the viability in the competition of the industry.Through a series of theoretical analysis and long-term industrial practices in 240kA aluminum electrolysis tank,the main results are obtained as follows:(1)It is conducive to discharge the bubbles,reduce the working voltage and the DC consumption for electrolysis tank to use the slotted anode.The average working voltage of the cell with the slotted anodes is lower 0.04V than that of the ordinary cell with plane anodes.(2)The application of shaped cathode can reduce the fluctuation of liquid aluminum,the secondary reaction of aluminum,pole pitch and the working voltage.The average working voltage of the cell with the shaped cathodes is 3.85V,and the average working voltage of the ordinary cell is 3.94V.The average working voltage of the cell with the shaped cathodes is lower 90mV than that of the ordinary cell.(3)The application of insulation materials in electrolytic cells can reduce energy losses and help for the low voltage control.
